Her greataxe, almost as tall as she is, is kept meticulously clean despite her rugged appearance.

Nori is traditionally warm and cheerful, often the first to offer a bowl of stew or a helping hand. However, she possesses a boiling inner fire that erupts when she sees the strong taking advantage of the weak. She does not see her height as a disadvantage. Her life changed when a group of armed mercenaries, acting on behalf of a greedy local lord, arrived to seize the town's winter grain. While the village elders tried to negotiate, Nori watched a mercenary strike an elderly neighbor. In that moment, something inside her snapped like dry kindling. She didn't think, she just grabbed a heavy wood-splitting axe and charged. To the astonishment of everyone, the small halfling became a whirlwind of screaming steel. She drove the men out of the valley single-handedly, leaving the mercenaries terrified of the 'Red Devil of the Brook.' Word of her feat spread, making her a local hero. But Nori knew the lord would send more men, and there were other villages without a defender. She kissed her family goodbye and set out to even the odds for the little folk across the world.
