Appearance
Senna is a short, powerfully built hill dwarf woman with a round face, high cheekbones, and a square jaw. Her chestnut hair is tied in a loose braid that falls past her shoulders. Her dark brown eyes are sharp as flint, often carrying equal parts irritation and reluctant amusement. Her skin is darker than that of most dwarves in the city, with a warm olive undertone, though still lighter than her father's. She has a sturdy, muscular frame shaped by hard labor and military discipline. A brass ring adorns her right ear. Out of armor, she favors a deep blue tunic, a linen shirt, worn trousers held by thick leather braces, and heavy boots polished at the shins but scuffed at the toes. She is notably attractive, with a grounded, self-possessed presence.
Mannerisms
Senna checks doors, ceilings, and floor seams without seeming to look. When annoyed, she rubs the brass ring in her right ear with her thumb. She speaks plainly, rarely wastes words, and addresses frightened people more gently than confident ones.
Personality
Senna is observant, blunt, and difficult to impress, but her irritation usually masks concern. She has a dry sense of humor and a strong instinct to protect people who are being overlooked. She prefers practical competence to noble speeches, though she secretly enjoys well-told stories and becomes surprisingly playful around people she trusts.
Ideals
Duty. Strength is not proven by never bending. It is proven by standing where others need you, even when the order is wrong and no one will praise you for it.
Bonds
The miners and young soldiers she saved during the tunnel collapse are her responsibility, even years later. She also carries her father's old brass command token and intends to return home only after earning a reputation that cannot be dismissed as inherited privilege.
Flaws
She has a hard time admitting fear, uncertainty, or simple exhaustion. When challenged by authority, especially her father's, she becomes stubborn enough to turn a disagreement into a personal contest. She also judges undisciplined people too quickly and secretly worries that without her family name or military rank, she may not know who she is.

Background
Senna Ulaneg was born beneath the chief's hall, the only child of a dwarf clan leader whose word carried through every stone passage in the settlement. Her father expected her to inherit a council seat, manage the clan's work crews, and marry advantageously. Senna instead learned to read the tunnels by sound, judge the strength of a support beam by touch, and settle disputes with the stubborn patience of someone who had grown up surrounded by miners. When a neighboring hold challenged her father's authority, she joined the clan guard to prove that command was more than a family inheritance. Military life suited her better than ceremony ever had. Senna became a shield bearer, patrol leader, and eventually a field sergeant trusted to hold narrow passages against creatures that could not be allowed into the lower halls. She learned that victory often belonged to the soldier who noticed the loose stone, the frightened recruit, or the enemy who thought everyone was watching the obvious door. Her service ended after she disobeyed an order to abandon an isolated mining crew during a tunnel collapse. She saved most of them, but the choice cost her rank and created a lasting rift with her father. Now she travels as a professional fighter, carrying the habits of a soldier and the quiet hope that one day her father will admit she was right.
