Appearance
Shiria is a six-foot-tall human woman with a broad, powerful frame shaped by years of military training and close combat. Her warm olive skin is marked by old scars, most notably a jagged silver line running down her left cheek. She has dark storm-gray eyes, a strong angular face, high cheekbones, and a severe undercut hairstyle, with the longer dark section pulled into a tight ponytail. In casual settings, she wears a charcoal gray turtleneck, reinforced dark jeans, and heavy black tactical boots. On duty, she wears matte-black security armor over a flexible protective bodysuit, reinforced cargo trousers, tactical gloves, a headset, and a compact modern firearm loadout. Her posture is rigid, controlled, and unmistakably watchful.
Mannerisms
Shiria checks entrances, exits, reflective surfaces, and ceiling corners whenever she enters a room. She speaks in short, precise sentences and rarely repeats herself. When thinking, she taps two fingers against the side of her thumb as if counting ammunition. She stands with her back to walls whenever possible and turns her scarred cheek away when someone asks about it.
Personality
Disciplined, pragmatic, observant, and intensely loyal once trust has been earned. Shiria respects competence more than charm and prefers direct action to speeches. She is quiet without being timid, authoritative without being theatrical, and ruthlessly efficient when violence becomes necessary. She has no patience for cowardice, wasted motion, or people who confuse confidence with preparation.
Ideals
Duty. The people under my protection should never have to wonder whether I will stand between them and danger. Competence is a form of respect, and preparation is the surest mercy.
Bonds
The soldiers lost during the betrayed extraction remain Shiria's unspoken responsibility. She protects her current organization and its people with uncompromising dedication, determined that no one under her watch will be abandoned because someone else failed to prepare.
Flaws
Shiria has difficulty forgiving betrayal, even when circumstances clearly justify it. She can mistake caution for wisdom and silence for strength. When someone under her protection is threatened, she becomes dangerously willing to cross moral and legal boundaries, then insists afterward that the outcome proves she was right.
Quirks
Background
Shiria was raised in a hard-edged border community where discipline was not a virtue so much as a requirement for survival. She enlisted young, already tall and strong enough to carry wounded comrades when others could not. Years of infantry drills, urban combat exercises, and live-fire operations taught her to value preparation over confidence and decisive action over empty speeches. She earned her jagged cheek scar during a failed extraction in which her unit was betrayed by someone trusted with their route. Shiria survived, but several soldiers did not, and she never again accepted loyalty as something that could be declared rather than proven. After leaving formal military service, Shiria worked for several elite protection agencies, guarding diplomats, executives, researchers, and dangerous people who could afford to purchase a quiet perimeter. The work refined her into a patient and ruthless protector. She learned to read rooms before entering them, identify the person most likely to panic, and end a threat before it became a crisis. Now she serves as the silent guardian of a heavily secured modern compound, carrying compact firearms instead of traditional battlefield weapons and treating every corridor as terrain that must be known, controlled, and defended. Though her methods are severe, her loyalty is absolute once earned. Shiria does not seek violence, but she has accepted that sometimes protection requires becoming the most dangerous person in the room.
