Appearance
A tall wood elf with warm bronze skin, long dark chestnut hair threaded with pale green cords, and clear hazel eyes. She wears a weathered green cloak over practical scale mail, with a polished silver noble signet sewn into the inside of her glove rather than displayed openly. The cloak is worn smooth at the right shoulder from years of carrying a longbow, and she stands with an easy, grounded breadth that makes cramped rooms feel smaller around her. A small wooden bird whistle hangs at her throat, its surface polished by constant handling.
Mannerisms
She pauses before entering any room to identify the nearest window, chimney, and source of natural light. During conversation, she lightly taps two fingers against her wooden bird whistle whenever someone makes a promise. When angry, she becomes quieter and begins using people's full names.
Personality
Ayzana is direct, observant, and unexpectedly warm with people who live close to the land. She has the bearing of someone raised to command, but she prefers listening from the edge of a fire circle to speaking from a dais. She is patient with frightened villagers, children, and animals, but has little patience for anyone who treats authority as a substitute for responsibility.
Ideals
Freedom. No crown, council, or ancient custom has the right to own a living forest or decide that distant people are acceptable losses.
Bonds
The old forest around her family's estate is under her protection, and she will risk everything to preserve it. She also carries the names of villages that trusted her when her own relatives hesitated, treating their safety as a personal oath.
Flaws
She distrusts institutions so deeply that she will sabotage a flawed plan rather than cooperate with people she considers corrupt. Her contempt for pampered nobles is often visible before she remembers that she belongs to their world. She also tends to promise protection too quickly, then exhaust herself trying to honor every promise literally.
Quirks
Background
Ayzana Tseren was born into a woodland branch of an old elven house, a family that once governed a chain of forest settlements and now survives mostly through reputation, obligations, and carefully preserved letters. She found little satisfaction in courtly ceremony. While other heirs practiced rhetoric and etiquette, Ayzana learned every deer trail around the family estate, memorized the calls of local birds, and followed the rangers who guarded the boundary between the settled groves and the wild places beyond. Her first true lesson in leadership came when a logging consortium bribed several officials and began cutting sacred old-growth trees. Ayzana abandoned a formal council session, walked into the forest, and returned three days later with proof of the scheme and half a dozen displaced families seeking protection.
“She found little satisfaction in courtly ceremony.”
