Appearance
Vivian Cross is impossibly ripped and moves like a prizefighter who never learned to slow down. She is a very attractive human woman with sharp eyes, a bruised-knuckle smile, and black sleeve tattoos that climb both arms from the wrists to the shoulders and up the neck. She dresses in modern, practical clothes cut for speed and brawling, usually dark fitted trousers, boots, a sleeveless coat, and wraps on her hands. She never wears armor, and she looks most dangerous when she looks relaxed.
Mannerisms
She cracks her knuckles before speaking, rolls one shoulder as if warming up for a fight, and points with her chin instead of a finger. When amused, she smiles with one side of her mouth and taps her knuckles against whatever surface is closest. In tense moments she keeps moving, circling people like she is already measuring distance.
Personality
Vivian is bold, competitive, and weirdly courteous to anyone who stands their ground. She laughs easily, talks with blunt honesty, and respects competence more than titles or manners. Under the swagger, she is fiercely protective and quietly generous, especially toward people who have been written off as disposable.
Ideals
Freedom. No boss, king, gang, or god gets to own her choices. Strength matters only when it protects the powerless and keeps the fight honest.
Bonds
She still sends part of every big payday to the people who fed her, hid her, or patched her up when she was nobody. She keeps a battered black notebook of names, favors, and debts, and she protects the innocent neighborhoods that raised her as if they were blood.
Flaws
Vivian treats danger like an invitation and insults like currency. She can be reckless when someone challenges her pride, and she sometimes escalates a situation because backing down feels worse than taking a beating. She hates being pitied, hates being managed, and can turn suspicious the moment someone speaks to her like she is fragile.
Quirks
Background
Vivian Cross learned early that a good right hook can settle a debt faster than a speech and a faster tongue can keep you alive after the hook lands. She grew up among alley gangs, backroom wagers, and tavern pits, where she earned coin by fighting for people who could not afford to lose and by taking the occasional job that never made it into the daylight. Her Human resourcefulness kept her alive, but it was her stubborn refusal to stay down that made her name spread from one district to the next. By the time she realized she had become a legend in the wrong circles, she had already become the kind of woman people hired when they wanted a problem handled quietly and completely. Her boxing style, or fisticuffs as she calls it, is less a school and more a philosophy. She fights with bare hands, elbows, clinches, and whatever she can turn into a weapon when the room runs out of space. Years of scrapping taught her how to read balance, jam joints, and make bigger opponents feel trapped in their own bodies, which eventually drew the attention of a strange mentor who taught her the Square Circle arts of grappling, submissions, and body control. Later, a battlefield psion recognized the fierce discipline buried under her swagger and awakened her latent psychic potential. Vivian now walks the line between street fighter and superhuman weapon, a woman built from bruises, nerve, and the refusal to let anyone else decide the terms of the fight.
