Appearance
Morgan is a 5'9" human woman with a lithe, graceful frame. She wears a robe of deep blue silk embroidered with silver constellations and arcane symbols. Her dark, shoulder-length hair is streaked with silver, and her piercing blue eyes shine behind spectacles perched on an aquiline nose. She wears several simple silver rings and a polished moonstone pendant that gives off a soft inner glow. A faint scent of ozone, old parchment, and lavender follows her.
Mannerisms
Morgan speaks in measured, exact sentences and pauses before answering even simple questions. While thinking, she traces invisible geometric patterns with one finger. She adjusts her spectacles when someone makes a false claim, and she often glances toward the nearest window as though checking the stars even in daylight.
Personality
Morgan is intensely curious, profoundly patient, and quietly warm. She treats time as a tapestry to be studied rather than a river to be rushed. Her speech is precise and deliberate, and she listens with the unnerving attention of someone who has already considered several possible meanings behind every sentence. She is generous toward sincere students and travelers, but becomes coldly formidable when knowledge is destroyed or used to control the helpless.
Ideals
Knowledge should illuminate the path forward, not become a chain around the minds of others. The future may be studied, but it must never be treated as an excuse to abandon moral responsibility.
Bonds
Morgan's tower and library are her life's work, and she will risk herself to defend them. She is also bound to the memory of her first mentor, whose final prophecy remains unfinished and may foretell a catastrophe that only Morgan can prevent.
Flaws
Morgan is convinced that almost every problem can be solved with sufficient information, which makes her dangerously slow to act when compassion demands an immediate answer. She also fears being wrong more than she fears being cruel, and sometimes hides uncertainty behind elegant, overly precise explanations.
Quirks
Background
Morgan was born to an ordinary human family in a river town where the night sky was unusually clear. As a child, she memorized constellations before she learned the names of local streets. Her gift for noticing patterns led her to a reclusive astrologer, who recognized that Morgan was not merely observing the heavens. She was glimpsing possibilities hidden behind them. Under that mentor's guidance, she learned the foundations of wizardry, then traveled from archive to archive in search of lost theories concerning fate, probability, and the architecture of time. Her studies eventually culminated in the construction of a slender tower on a lonely hill, built around an ancient observatory and a chamber of mirrored crystal. There, Morgan maintains a vast library, charts possible futures, and occasionally intervenes when a disaster appears in too many visions to be coincidence. Her tower has become both sanctuary and research institution, visited by desperate rulers, wandering heroes, and scholars who hope to borrow books they cannot possibly understand. Morgan is patient with honest ignorance, but has little tolerance for those who misuse knowledge. She is not old, though years of magical study and a few encounters with temporal anomalies have given her silver-streaked hair and an unsettling sense of perspective.
