Thaddeus is an alarmingly thin man with pale, translucent skin that makes him look like a ghost in heavy robes. His silver hair is always in a state of chaotic disarray, and his eyes, a piercing shade of violet, seem to be looking at something three seconds in the future. He is constantly dusted with ink and carries the scent of old parchment.

Thaddeus is a man of intense, nervous energy who speaks as if he is trying to outrun his own thoughts. He is deeply compassionate and feels a physical ache when he witnesses injustice, often leading him to act impulsively. He values the pursuit of knowledge above all else but believes that knowledge should be used to liberate rather than control.

Born with a fragile constitution that kept him bedridden for much of his youth, Thaddeus was never meant for the hard labor of his family farm. He found his sanctuary in the local lord's library, where he discovered that the physical world was merely a thin veil over a much more complex tapestry of fate. His obsession with the unseen led him to become a self-taught sage, though his body never grew stronger. After discovering a prophecy concerning a looming shadow, he realized that sitting amongst books was no longer enough. He gathered his scrolls and his meager belongings to join the world he had only ever read about. He hopes his insights can prevent the tragedies he sees flickering in his dreams, even if his legs tremble under the weight of his own robes.
