Appearance
Taloria is a tall, silver-skinned aasimar with dark blue hair that shines faintly at the edges like a night sky before dawn. Her eyes are luminous amber, and a subtle golden radiance gathers around her pupils whenever her sorcerous power stirs. She moves with a measured, forward-leaning gait, as though she is always following a trail only she can see. Years spent handling old books and traveling between archives have left her hands ink-stained and her fingertips slightly rough. She dresses in layered scholar's robes beneath a weatherproof blue mantle, with copper thread sewn into the cuffs in patterns copied from an unknown celestial document.
Mannerisms
Taloria pauses before answering difficult questions, turning her head slightly as if listening to a distant voice. She annotates nearly everything, including maps, menus, and other people's battle plans. When surprised, she unconsciously traces the same three-symbol sequence that appeared in her mother's papers.
Personality
Taloria is patient, observant, and relentlessly curious. She is kind to frightened people and unexpectedly gentle with damaged books. In conversation she asks precise questions, remembers obscure details, and becomes visibly energized whenever someone contradicts an established theory. She dislikes being treated as a chosen one and prefers to be regarded as a diligent researcher who happens to wield dangerous magic.
Ideals
Truth is a form of freedom. No one should be defined by the secrets of their bloodline, and every mystery deserves to be pursued without cruelty toward the people caught inside it.
Bonds
Her mother gave her the locked box of celestial clues, and Taloria will risk almost anything to uncover the truth behind it. She is also fiercely protective of the archive that first gave her a place in the world.
Flaws
She treats every mystery as more important than her immediate safety. She is easily manipulated by anyone who claims to know something about her father, and she sometimes confuses an answer with the truth simply because she has waited so long to hear one.
Quirks
Background
Taloria was born to a mother who refused to name her father because she genuinely did not know who he was. She knew only that he had been important, impossibly so, and that his arrival in her life had been surrounded by light, strange dreams, and a voice speaking a language she could not understand. Taloria grew up with fragments instead of answers. Her mother kept a locked box containing a single celestial coin, three pages of copied symbols, and a letter that ended before the writer's name. Those scraps became the center of Taloria's life. As a young woman, Taloria entered a scholarly archive and devoted herself to researching celestial bloodlines, forgotten covenants, and the boundaries between mortal sorcery and divine power. Her innate magic first manifested when she tried to translate one of the symbols from her mother's box, causing every candle in the archive to burn with silver flame. A traveling tutor recognized the sign as part of an ancient draconic-celestial concord and taught Taloria to control the fire that answered her voice. She now travels as both investigator and adventurer, seeking lost records, living witnesses, and any supernatural being who might know the identity of her father. She wants the truth, but she also wants to prove that whatever power runs through her veins belongs to her, not to the mystery that left it behind.
