Appearance
Faelyn is a lean elf with sun-browned skin, sharp green eyes, and silver-blond hair usually tied back with leather cord. She wears practical scale mail beneath a weather-stained green cloak, with a longbow across her back and two well-kept shortswords at her hips. A small wooden token carved with a fox hangs at her throat, and her boots are always dusted with road dirt from the next forgotten trail she intends to take.
Mannerisms
Faelyn rarely stands still for long, and when she is forced to wait she sharpens an arrowhead, taps a boot heel, or scans the treeline by instinct. She speaks plainly, often with dry humor, and tends to look at exits before she looks at the person speaking to her.
Personality
Faelyn is stubborn, vigilant, and quietly compassionate. She pretends to be detached, but she cannot ignore a lost traveler, a frightened child, or a cruel bully. She trusts actions far more than promises, and she prefers to meet problems directly rather than discuss them at length.
Ideals
Freedom. No lord, law, or tradition should chain a person's life if they can choose their own path.
Bonds
The hamlet that raised her still lives in her heart, and she will cross any forest or battlefield to keep its people safe.
Flaws
Faelyn hates being told what to do and may sabotage a plan simply because it sounds too tidy. She can also be reckless when someone insults the weak, charging ahead before thinking through the consequences.
Quirks
Background
Faelyn was not born to noble halls or moonlit courts, but to a border hamlet where the woods pressed close and winter came early. As a child, she learned to track fox and deer, mend broken fences, and listen for danger in the wind. When raiders and hungry beasts began to take from the village, Faelyn became the one who led frightened neighbors through the trees, striking from cover and guiding them to safety. The people called her a hero after that, though she never quite understood why surviving what should have killed them made her special. She left home before the praise could turn into a cage. Faelyn still helps the helpless when she finds them, but she hates being thanked as if she were a story instead of a person. She walks the roads because the wilderness feels honest to her, unlike courts, priests, and merchants who smile too easily. Every trail is a challenge, every horizon a promise, and every tyrant a problem that may be solved with an arrow if words fail first.
