Appearance
A handsome human noble with sun-browned skin, copper-gold hair worn in a scandalously undone tail, and a once-proud face now weathered by road dust and consequence. He favors a battered suit of chain mail over finery, keeps a polished spear and a sword close at hand, and still carries the posture of a man who expects doors to open for him. His smile is dazzling, his eyes are sharp, and his boots are never as clean as he insists they should be.
Mannerisms
He talks with theatrical precision, like every sentence is a witty comeback he has practiced in a mirror. When he is nervous, he polishes whatever weapon is nearest, and when he is pleased with himself, he taps two fingers against his breastbone as if accepting applause.
Personality
Quintus is flamboyant, sharp-tongued, and outrageously self-assured, but the polish is a shield over a very real fear of being forgotten as a fool. He likes fine wine, bad decisions, dramatic entrances, and winning arguments by any means that leave him looking elegant.
Ideals
Freedom. Quintus believes a person should be able to choose their own fate, even if his own choices keep proving expensive. He also clings to a private ideal of earned dignity, that a disgraced man can still become worthy through action rather than birth.
Bonds
He is obsessed with restoring his fortune and reputation, not out of humility, but because he believes the world owes him one clean triumph. He also secretly wants to prove that his father was wrong about him, preferably after landing one solid punch to the old man’s jaw.
Flaws
He cannot resist turning any room into a stage, especially when he is supposed to be apologizing. He also assumes charm can solve problems that actually require judgment, and when cornered, he sometimes doubles down on arrogance just to avoid admitting he was frightened.

Background
Quintus Copperfield Goldmane V was born the sixth son of a comfortable noble house, which meant he inherited the family name, a generous allowance, and precisely none of the pressure to behave. He spent his youth mistaking indulgence for freedom, slipping between salons, taverns, and moonlit rooftops with a grin and a bottle, certain that consequence was something that happened to other people. Then came the night that ended his life as a family favorite, a vineyard burned, a temple desecrated, and a marriage to a goblin tavern wench that lasted just long enough to become embarrassing for everyone involved. The annulment was swift, the scandal was not, and Quintus was exiled with more shame than luggage.
