Appearance
Mimsi is a lithe eladrin with spring-green eyes, silver hair braided into tidy loops, and ink stains always lingering on two fingertips. She dresses like a traveling clerk who raided a jewel box, tailored vest, pleated skirt, polished boots, and a satchel full of tabbed ledgers, wax seals, spare quills, and color-coded ribbon. Her Fey Step leaves behind a brief scatter of pale blossom petals, as if reality itself has to sign her attendance sheet.
Mannerisms
She speaks in neat bullet points when excited, taps her quill against her lip while thinking, and unconsciously straightens papers that are already perfectly aligned. When someone presents a poor plan, she smiles with serene sympathy and asks for the version that survives audit.
Personality
Cheerfully meticulous, quietly commanding, and disarmingly earnest. Mimsi treats administrative work like sacred liturgy, and she genuinely believes that a good roster, a fair schedule, and a properly filed grievance can save lives. She is warm with underlings, exacting with liars, and absurdly delighted by competent clerks.
Ideals
Order. A well-run system protects people, preserves fairness, and keeps the powerful from turning convenience into cruelty. Mimsi believes civilization is a kind of music, and the best leaders are those who keep the tempo steady enough for everyone to dance.
Bonds
Mimsi keeps a velvet-bound ledger of every debt, favor, promise, and apology she has ever been owed or given. She will cross kingdoms to preserve a contract signed in good faith, and she treats her party’s safety as a matter of solemn record. She also carries a sealed letter of introduction from a guild that once gave her shelter when she first arrived in the Material Plane, and she means to repay that kindness in full.
Flaws
Mimsi cannot leave a problem unlabeled, even in a crisis, and her need to document everything can become maddeningly obstructive. She assumes that if a rule exists, everyone else has agreed to it in good faith, which makes betrayal hit her harder than it should. When frightened, she becomes overorganized, assigning priorities to things that probably should not have priorities, including feelings.
Quirks
Background
Mimsi Thistlewhim was born in the shimmering borderlands of an eladrin court, where every vow was recorded, debated, illuminated, and then debated again in five different seasonal moods. She loved the process almost as much as the music. While other young eladrin drifted toward poetry, dueling, or mischief, Mimsi fell in love with the elegant tyranny of order, the way a ledger could turn chaos into something survivable. Her first instrument was not a harp, but a stamp press she rhythmically hammered to keep a room of bickering nobles on task. By the time she left the Feywild, she had developed the impossible talent of making bureaucracy feel almost delightful.
“She loved the process almost as much as the music.”
