- Dragon AncestorLevel 1

Appearance
A tall, lean high elf with warm brown skin, softly pointed ears, and thick dark hair worn in a loose braid secured with a bronze clasp shaped like a curled dragon. Her eyes are deep amber, but when her magic stirs, faint violet shadows gather around her pupils. She dresses in practical scholar's clothing beneath a dark traveling cloak, with ink stains on her fingertips and a habitually overstuffed satchel at her hip. Her presence is quiet rather than imposing, though the air near her sometimes seems dimmer than it should be.
Mannerisms
Before speaking, Namalie takes a quiet breath through her nose and touches the bronze dragon clasp in her hair. She often pauses to arrange objects into neat rows, even during conversation, and her voice becomes noticeably softer when discussing the dragon.
Personality
Namalie is observant, self-contained, and more comfortable with a damaged manuscript than a crowded room. She listens for contradictions in people's stories and remembers exact wording long after forgetting a person's face. Her curiosity is sincere but intrusive, and she can become unexpectedly playful when a mystery presents itself. Though she dislikes authority, she respects competence and quietly protects people who are overlooked by official histories.
Ideals
Truth belongs to whoever is willing to preserve it. No general, dragon, king, or god should be allowed to erase the inconvenient parts.
Bonds
My father's military archives contain the first clue to the dragon's identity. I will recover them before anyone destroys or falsifies them.
Flaws
I treat every secret as evidence that someone is manipulating the record, and I would rather risk a dangerous truth than accept a comforting explanation. When frightened, I become cold, argumentative, and reckless with magic.
Quirks
Background
Namalie was born into a military household, the only child of General Othari, whose campaigns were preserved in meticulous ledgers and battlefield reports. While other children learned formations and sword drills, Namalie spent her days copying dispatches, comparing old maps, and studying the names of the dead. She expected to become a record keeper, believing that a carefully preserved account could outlast any victory. Her mother taught her the patience of cataloguing, while her father taught her that history was useful only when someone had the courage to read its warnings. Everything changed when Namalie was sent to restore a ruined archive beneath an abandoned mountain observatory. There she found a sealed draconic record written in a language no living scholar recognized. Reading the final passage awakened a dormant bond with a hidden dragon whose name she still cannot speak without hearing another voice beneath her own. Since then, shadows have answered her fear and anger, stretching toward her hands like living ink. She withdrew into a hermit's life to study the bond, filling notebooks with observations, failed theories, and copied fragments of the dragon's memories. Now that the darkness has begun reaching beyond her control, she has left her refuge to discover whether she is becoming the dragon's heir, its vessel, or its prisoner.
