You can cast wizard spells using Intelligence as your spellcasting ability. You have a spellbook containing your known wizard spells, and you can use it as a spellcasting focus. You can prepare a number of wizard spells equal to your Intelligence modifier plus your Wizard level, and you can cast ritual spells from your spellbook without having them prepared.

Appearance
Gu Ji Xiang is a middle-aged human man with some grey in his neatly bound hair and a respectable, carefully groomed sage's beard. His left eye is blind, its clouded surface traditionally covered by a narrow dark cloth marked with the Gu Clan's divination sigil. He wears plain ash-colored robes, soft traveling shoes, and a simple belt carrying his spellbook, ink, and divination implements. His posture is upright and composed, giving him the air of a quiet scholar who has seen too much to be easily impressed.
Mannerisms
He pauses before answering ordinary questions, as if consulting an invisible chart. When concentrating, he turns his blind side toward the speaker and lightly taps two fingers against his staff. He addresses strangers with formal courtesy and refers to coincidence as an unexamined pattern.
Personality
Quiet, formal, and observant, Gu Ji Xiang speaks with the measured certainty of a man accustomed to being asked what comes next. He is patient with sincere students and unexpectedly gentle with frightened people, but he has little tolerance for boastful ignorance. Beneath his reserved manner is a dry sense of humor and a deep curiosity about every unusual event.

His training combined meticulous scholarship with long hours spent reading celestial charts, casting lots, interpreting dreams, and comparing ancient records. The Gu Clan's most solemn tradition required each senior diviner to surrender one eye in a ritual sacrifice to sharpen the inner sight. Gu Ji Xiang underwent the rite willingly, emerging blind in his left eye and with a reputation for unusually precise readings of danger and opportunity. Years of travel and successful predictions earned him modest fame across JiangHu, though he remains more comfortable in archives than in courts. His investigations eventually revealed that several apparently unrelated disasters were connected to a hidden magical pattern, one that no ordinary omen could fully explain. To uncover the truth, he left the clan's ancestral hall and took up the life of an adventuring wizard. He now travels in plain robes, carrying a carefully annotated spellbook and treating every ruin, rumor, and battlefield as a page in a greater prophecy. Gu Ji Xiang is not driven by glory. He seeks a complete understanding of the pattern threatening the region, even if the final answer proves that his own clan has been part of it for generations.
