- Breath Weapon
When As an action, once per short or long rest
You exhale destructive energy in a 5-foot-wide line that is 30 feet long. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d6 lightning damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one. The damage type is lightning, based on Tavik's draconic ancestry. After using this trait, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
- Lightning Resistance
When Always active
You have resistance to lightning damage.
- Otherworldly Patron, The Great Old OneLevel 1
You have made a pact with a mysterious otherworldly entity, the Great Old One. Your choice grants you features at this level and at later levels.
- Pact MagicLevel 1
You have learned to draw on your patron's power to cast spells. You know two cantrips and two 1st-level warlock spells. You regain your one expended spell slot when you finish a short or long rest.
- Awakened MindLevel 1
You can communicate telepathically with any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You do not need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.

Appearance
A compact, copper-scaled dragonborn with dark rust-colored horns swept back close to the skull. His scales are clean but unevenly polished, brighter along the shoulders and forearms where he habitually rubs them with an oiled cloth. His hands are especially distinctive, the claws worn smooth at the tips from years of climbing, lock work, and handling rough cord. He keeps his black hair cropped short between the horns and maintains a narrow braided beard decorated with three bits of colored thread taken from old market awnings. His clothes are practical and carefully mended, with a leather coat beneath a charcoal cloak. A small silver charm shaped like a dragon's tooth hangs at his throat, tucked away whenever he expects trouble.
Mannerisms
Tavik taps one claw against his thumb while thinking, checks the nearest exit whenever he enters a room, and lowers his voice to a conspiratorial whisper even when discussing ordinary matters. When using his telepathy, he stares slightly past the listener as though reading something written in the air.
Personality
Tavik is quick-witted, observant, and socially nimble. He treats every conversation like a negotiation, but he is warmer than he first appears, especially toward people who are hungry, frightened, or being ignored. He enjoys maps, coded messages, and locked boxes, and he has an almost childlike delight in finding a route no one else noticed.
Ideals
Freedom. No one should be owned by a family, a city, a god, or a voice inside their head. Every person deserves the chance to choose what they become.
Bonds
The children of the dock district are his family. He sends money, food, and warnings back to them whenever he can, and he will risk almost anything to keep an older gang from exploiting them.
Flaws
He cannot resist proving that he is the cleverest person in the room, especially when someone treats him like a common thief. He also keeps secrets long after honesty would be safer, because surrendering information feels too much like being abandoned again.
Quirks
Background
Tavik was left as an egg in a rain barrel behind a spice warehouse, wrapped in a faded blue shawl and marked with a single word in Draconic. No one in the dock district knew whether the mark was a family name, a warning, or an address. He grew up among roof runners, market thieves, and children who learned early that a dragonborn face could open some doors and close others. Tavik survived by carrying messages, lifting purses from careless merchants, and guiding strangers through the city by routes that did not appear on any official map. He never became cruel, but he became very good at deciding who could afford to lose what he stole. His pact began beneath an abandoned bathhouse, where Tavik found a sealed cistern covered in geometric carvings that made his teeth ache when he looked at them. Something on the other side of the stone spoke into his thoughts, not with words, but with the sensation of remembered places and doors opening onto impossible skies. In exchange for a promise to seek out hidden knowledge and bring it into the light, the presence gave him a fragment of its awareness. Tavik now hears faint impressions from nearby minds, usually no more than a stray emotion or a half-formed image. He treats the gift as both a tool and a debt. He wants to discover who abandoned him, why the message on his egg mattered, and whether the voice beneath the bathhouse was the first person to ever tell him the truth.
