Appearance
Malice is a tall, lean drow woman with dark violet skin, white hair cut bluntly at the jaw, and pale red eyes that seem almost pink in direct light. Her left arm is deliberately uncovered from shoulder to wrist, marked with ritual scars and fine black lines of spiderweb tattooing. She wears fitted leather armor beneath layered crimson, plum, and saffron robes, arranged to resemble a surface samurai's flowing garments without sacrificing freedom of movement. Two curved blades hang at her waist, their hilts wrapped in black cord and their edges regularly treated with poison. Her expression is usually calm, attentive, and faintly tender, as if she is listening to a beloved mother speak from somewhere behind the world.
Mannerisms
Malice speaks softly and rarely raises her voice. Before drawing a weapon, she briefly touches two fingers to her exposed left arm, as though checking that her scars are still there. She addresses spiders as little sisters and pauses in conversation whenever one crosses a wall or floor.
Personality
Malice is quiet, observant, and unnervingly sincere. She treats cruelty as a technical problem rather than an emotional indulgence, and she is more comfortable discussing poisons, wounds, and divine signs than ordinary affection. Despite her reputation, she is patient with the frightened and protective of anyone who accepts her guidance. She believes fear is useful, but panic is wasteful.
Ideals
Devotion. Lolth is not merely a goddess to be obeyed. She is mother, judge, messenger, and savior. I will become worthy of her attention by making every victory an act of worship.
Bonds
Lolth chose me when my house tried to destroy me. I will repay that favor by becoming the hand that reaches every enemy who thinks the Spider Queen cannot see them.
Flaws
I mistake devotion for permission. If I believe Lolth has marked someone for death, I will risk allies, missions, and my own life to complete the killing. I also cannot tolerate being pitied, because pity sounds too much like the condescension of the house that failed to break me.

Background
Malice was born Aurelia Travra, the youngest useful daughter of House Travra in Menzoberranzan. From infancy, the house prepared her for the priesthood, teaching her that obedience was holiness and hesitation was treason. She learned the proper prayers, the correct posture before a priestess, and the thousand small ways a drow girl could avoid becoming an example. Yet Aurelia never possessed the fervor her instructors wanted. She obeyed because obedience kept her alive, not because she loved the lesson. During a punishment ritual overseen by a senior priestess, Aurelia was bound beneath a shrine crowded with living spiders. The ritual was meant to break her will before the gathered house, but the spiders did not bite. They crawled over her wounds, arranged themselves around her like a living veil, and remained still when the priestess raised her ceremonial knife. Aurelia understood the moment as a summons. She took a blade from the altar, cut herself free, and abandoned her birth name. From then on she was Malice, the Black Widow's blade, a chosen instrument rather than a daughter awaiting approval. She now travels beyond the Underdark to hunt enemies of Lolth, gather intelligence, and test the surface warriors whose curved swords and layered robes inspired her bastardized martial code. She calls it the Way of the Black Widow. It rejects fairness as a childish luxury, favoring concealed weapons, poison, ambushes, feigned weakness, and attacks delivered when an enemy believes the danger has passed. Malice does not consider herself cruel. She considers herself loved, and believes every kill is proof that Lolth has not forgotten her.
