Appearance
Gemini has smoky bronze skin threaded with faint copper-colored cracks that glow softly when they become excited. Their hair constantly lifts as if caught in a warm breeze, shifting from dark brown at the roots to pale silver at the tips. One eye is amber and the other is storm-gray. Gemini dresses in a fitted dark leather coat over a crimson shirt, with a rapier at one hip, a dagger at the other, and a battered viol tucked into a weatherproof case. Their fingers are stained with ink, lock grease, and theatrical makeup.
Mannerisms
Gemini taps rhythms against their teeth when thinking, bows theatrically after telling even minor lies, and tilts their head as though listening to a distant wind before answering difficult questions.
Personality
Gemini is quick-witted, theatrical, and intensely observant. They treat every conversation as a performance, but their humor becomes unexpectedly gentle around frightened people, children, and anyone being bullied by authority. They enjoy danger more than is sensible and prefer a clever escape to a victorious confrontation.
Ideals
Freedom. No authority deserves obedience merely because it has a uniform, a title, or a nicer chair.
Bonds
Gemini still carries the first worn copper coin they stole, and they intend to use the syndicate's own fortune to buy freedom for everyone trapped under its control.
Flaws
Gemini cannot resist improving a plan, especially when the original plan is safer. They lie reflexively when frightened, often continuing a deception long after honesty would be easier. They also have an unhealthy habit of stealing small objects from people who annoy them.

Background
Gemini Jones grew up in a riverside district where everyone had two names, one for daylight and one for after midnight. Their elemental nature made them memorable from birth, which was inconvenient for a child raised among pickpockets, smugglers, and confidence artists. Gemini learned early that attention could be redirected with a joke, a song, or a perfectly timed gust of air. By adolescence, they were working as a lookout and message runner, using music performances as cover while quietly memorizing guard routes, noble scandals, and the locations of poorly secured windows. Their criminal career ended when a burglary went wrong. Gemini discovered that the target was not a wealthy merchant, but a frightened family being extorted by the very syndicate Gemini served. Instead of delivering the stolen evidence, they performed an improvised ballad in the market square that exposed the syndicate's crimes to half the neighborhood. The resulting chaos allowed the family to escape, but it also placed a price on Gemini's head. Now they travel as a bard, thief, and professional troublemaker, selling songs, secrets, and just enough deception to keep one step ahead of their former employers. Gemini claims to value freedom above all else, though a growing list of people they protect suggests otherwise.
