Appearance
Visynia is a lean wood elf with russet-brown skin, sharp green eyes, and long black hair braided tightly against her scalp on one side. A thin, pale scar runs from beneath her left shoulder blade toward her ribs, the lingering mark of the blade that nearly killed her. She wears weather-stained leather armor beneath a dark green traveling cloak, with a rapier at her hip, twin daggers hidden in her boots, and a small collection of bone charms taken from wilderness trails and former enemies.
Mannerisms
Visynia rarely sits with her back to a door. She tests the balance of every blade she handles, watches reflections instead of turning her head, and speaks in a low, dry voice even when others are shouting. Before making a difficult decision, she rubs the scar on her back with two fingers.
Personality
Visynia is observant, self-reliant, and wryly amused by the mistakes of people who underestimate her. She prefers to solve problems from the edges, where escape routes are plentiful and no one can mistake caution for weakness. Though she acts aloof, she has a fierce instinct to protect travelers, outcasts, and anyone being preyed upon by a stronger force.
Ideals
Freedom. No ruler, order, or leader has the right to own another person's loyalty. Anyone who tries to seize control through fear or treachery deserves to lose everything.
Bonds
Saelith betrayed Visynia during a secret meeting in a hollow beneath an old oak. The power grab was swift and merciless. Saelith plunged a blade into Visynia's back, then left her among the roots to die while claiming the Briar Veil for herself. Visynia survived by crawling into the wilderness, following animal trails, drinking rainwater, and using every hard-earned rogue skill to stay alive. Years of solitude sharpened her instincts and deepened her hunger for revenge. Now she travels from settlement to settlement, taking dangerous work, gathering rumors, and waiting for the moment she can return to the Briar Veil and make Saelith answer for the betrayal.
Flaws
Visynia cannot let an insult, betrayal, or slight go unanswered. She assumes trust is merely a weapon waiting to be turned against her, and her desire for revenge can draw her into plans that are needlessly dangerous. When Saelith's name is mentioned, Visynia's judgment becomes clouded.
Quirks
Background
Visynia was once the left hand of the Briar Veil, a clandestine rogue brand of wood elves who moved through ancient forests like shadows beneath leaves. She served as scout, infiltrator, and quiet enforcer, carrying out tasks that required patience more than bloodshed. Her closest companion was Saelith, the one person she trusted without reservation. Together they mapped hidden paths, robbed corrupt nobles, and protected their people from those who would exploit the wild places.
