While unarmed or wielding only monk weapons and not wearing armor or using a shield, you can use Dexterity instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls with unarmed strikes and monk weapons. Your unarmed strikes deal 1d4 damage, and when you take the Attack action with an unarmed strike or monk weapon, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action.
- AggressiveOrcAs a bonus action, move up to your speed toward a hostile creature you can see or hear, ending closer to it. You cannot use this if the movement would end your turn farther from your starting position.

Appearance
A broad-shouldered male orc with weather-darkened green-gray skin, a heavy jaw, and a flattened nose shaped by years of cold wind and hard labor rather than violence. His black hair is shaved close at the temples and tied into a short, carefully maintained knot at the crown. He wears plain travel clothes beneath a faded saffron wrap, with thick callused hands, cracked knuckles, and a small string of river stones around one wrist. His most noticeable feature is his deliberate stillness. Even in a crowded room, he stands balanced and quiet, as if listening to the floor.
Mannerisms
Brukhan pauses before answering difficult questions, touching two fingers to the ground as though consulting the earth. He keeps his shoulders relaxed even during arguments and politely corrects people who call his quietness submissive.
Personality
Soft-spoken, observant, and unexpectedly warm, Brukhan prefers useful deeds to impressive speeches. He is patient with frightened animals, children, and people who admit ignorance. He becomes intensely focused when someone threatens a community, and his usually gentle voice turns precise and immovable.
Ideals
Dignity belongs to anyone willing to stand for others. Strength is not measured by the damage one can cause, but by the harm one chooses to prevent.
Bonds
The grazing settlement that raised him is his family, and he will risk himself to protect its people, animals, and land. He also carries Sella's worn prayer cord and intends to return it only after he has mastered the lesson she began.
Flaws
He mistakes patience for moral superiority and can become quietly judgmental toward anyone who acts from fear or anger. When frightened, he refuses to retreat until someone gives him a direct order, even when withdrawal would be wiser.
Quirks
Background
Brukhan was born among an orc settlement that worked the high grazing roads, where every hand was expected to mend fences, carry water, and guard the herds. He was never strong by the standards of his kin, and his poor eyesight for distance made him a clumsy spear carrier. An old traveler named Sella noticed that Brukhan could feel the tremor of wagon wheels through packed earth before anyone else heard them. She taught him to breathe with the rhythm of the road, to place each foot with care, and to turn weakness into patience. Brukhan eventually became a student of a small roadside monastery that accepted labor in place of coin. His life changed when a local magistrate attempted to seize the settlement's grazing land. Brukhan led the villagers through a night of quiet sabotage, moving fence posts, freeing penned animals, and exposing the magistrate's forged claims before the regional reeve. The victory made him a folk hero, though Brukhan insists that the people saved themselves and he merely helped them stand in the right places. Now he travels beyond his home, seeking the monastery's scattered teachings and learning whether his growing discipline can protect others without turning him into the kind of brute his enemies already believe him to be.
