Appearance
Nova is a fair-skinned human woman with a lean, athletic build shaped by years of covert operations, fieldcraft, and survival training. Faint scars cross her collarbone and forearm. She has sharp features, high cheekbones, a straight nose, pale blue eyes, and a chin-length asymmetrical blonde bob kept neatly away from her face. In casual settings, she wears a fitted black tank top, dark gray cargo pants, and low-cut black leather boots. In the field, she wears a matte black sound-dampening bodysuit beneath a charcoal tactical vest, black gloves, silent-soled boots, and a compact loadout of modern firearms, knives, tools, ammunition, and medical equipment.
Mannerisms
Nova rarely wastes movement. She checks doors, windows, and reflective surfaces without appearing to do so. When listening, she becomes completely still. She answers questions directly, pauses before speaking, and cleans her weapons whenever she needs to think.
Personality
Nova is quiet, observant, and ruthlessly efficient. She values competence, preparation, and clear objectives above comfort or social approval. She speaks rarely, but her words are precise and difficult to dismiss. Beneath her controlled exterior is a fiercely protective survivor who notices suffering immediately and responds before anyone else realizes danger is present.
Ideals
Survival is not enough. Power must be used to shield people who have none, and loyalty must be earned through action.
Bonds
Nova carries a damaged identification token belonging to the only handler who refused to abandon her. She will risk everything to protect people imprisoned, exploited, or discarded by powerful organizations.
Flaws
Nova assumes every kindness has a hidden price. She is slow to trust, intolerant of incompetence, and willing to cross moral lines when she believes hesitation will cost innocent lives. She also has difficulty accepting help, because dependence reminds her of the helplessness she experienced in captivity.
Quirks
Background
Nova was recruited into a covert intelligence unit because she could move through hostile territory without leaving a trace. Her training combined reconnaissance, wilderness survival, urban infiltration, and precision shooting. She learned to read a room like terrain, identify exits before entering, and treat every silence as information. Her service earned her the unofficial designation Stalker, a name given to operatives trusted to operate alone behind enemy lines. During a deep-cover mission, Nova was captured and held in a black-site prison for six months. Interrogators broke bones, erased records, and offered her freedom in exchange for the names of her surviving handlers. She gave them nothing. Her escape left her former agency in ruins and convinced her that loyalty must be proven through action rather than demanded through words. Now she works as a ranger, scout, and hunter of threats that hide behind civilian faces. She still serves the vulnerable, but she no longer serves institutions blindly. When danger comes, Nova is already behind it, already watching, and usually already prepared.
“Her training combined reconnaissance, wilderness survival, urban infiltration, and precision shooting.”
