Appearance
A lithe wood elf woman with sea-salt hair the color of moonlit silver, sea-glass eyes, and clever artisan's hands marked by fine cuts from wire, shell, and thorns. She wears simple travel robes over leather armor, with a druidic focus carved into a polished quarterstaff and living jewelry of braided vine, pearl, and driftwood that shifts subtly with her mood.
Mannerisms
She tilts her head as if listening to distant surf before answering a question, and she unconsciously traces spiral patterns in the air when thinking. When uncertain, she touches the jewelry at her throat or murmurs to plants under her breath as though asking permission to pass.
Personality
Quiet until a cause matters, then impossible to ignore. Reina speaks with the measured patience of someone who has spent years listening, but when she cares, her wit turns bright and swift. She is courteous to scholars, artisans, and laborers alike, and she has little patience for inherited privilege that serves no one but itself.
Ideals
The land remembers its own. If a realm is ruled by cruelty, conquest, or neglect, the forests, tides, and beasts have every right to rise against it. Freedom and stewardship are the same sacred duty.
Bonds
Her family name still means something to her, even after the fall, and she will risk her life to save any surviving relative, servant, or artisan loyal to the old kingdom. She also carries the first piece of Living Jewelry she ever made, a vine-and-pearl circlet from her mother's garden, and she believes it will guide her home if she proves worthy of the land.
Flaws
Reina trusts the voice of the wild a little too quickly and sometimes mistakes instinct for certainty. She has trouble leaving an injustice alone, even when caution would serve the larger plan. When the memory of her kingdom's fall is stirred, her composure can crack into sharp, reckless fury.
Quirks
Background
Reina riverthorn was born where the surf met an ancient forest, in a coastal city whose nobles prized beauty almost as much as bloodline. Her family was minor nobility, famous for Living Jewelry, delicate pieces woven from shell, coral, seed, and silver wire that seemed to pulse with the vitality of tide and root. Unlike her polished siblings, Reina learned the craft by hand. She spent her youth in workshops, gardens, and cliffside groves, listening to the salt wind, the roots beneath the manor, and the hush of creatures no courtier ever noticed. From them she learned that nature was not decoration, but a language, ancient and patient, that answered to respect. Her curiosity led her beyond the salon and into books, and that apprenticeship of craft and scholarship made her a Sage in all but title. She traveled between manor houses and monasteries, trading repairs, designs, and careful copies of old maps for access to hidden shelves. There she discovered histories of border wars, lost covenants, and the old pacts that bound sea, forest, and crown together. When another kingdom attacked and her home burned beneath steel and sorcery, Reina escaped by following the living paths of gulls, reeds, and whispering trees. Now she travels as a druid, calling on tide, thorn, and storm to strike back at invaders, to gather allies, and to reclaim her kingdom not merely as a throne, but as a living land worth defending.
“Unlike her polished siblings, Reina learned the craft by hand.”
