Appearance
Thoradin is a stout and barrel-chested dwarf with a kind face framed by a meticulously braided grey beard. He wears polished chain mail covered by a sapphire blue tabard bearing the silver emblem of a hearth. His eyes are the color of warm amber and always seem to be searching for those in need. He carries a heavy iron mace that shows signs of use, but his hands are surprisingly gentle.
Mannerisms
He has a habit of patting people on the shoulder with a heavy hand when offering words of encouragement.
Personality
He is a beacon of calm in the midst of chaos, speaking with a deep and resonant voice that reassures the wounded. Thoradin believes that every life is a precious ember that must be protected from the cold wind of death. He is patient to a fault, often spending his resting hours listening to the concerns of others.
Ideals
Charity. My pockets are light because my heart is full, for what is wealth if it cannot ease a brother's pain?
Bonds
I carry a small piece of hearthstone from my home temple. As long as it remains whole, I will always find my way back to my kin.
Flaws
I am so focused on saving others that I often ignore my own injuries until the battle is long over.

Background
Born in the deep mountain halls of the Deepforge clan, Thoradin was never destined for the mines. While his brothers obsessed over veins of gold and mithral, he found himself drawn to the infirmaries and temples. He realized early on that a dwarf's greatest strength is not the stone around them, but the family beside them. He dedicated his life to Berronar Truesilver, the Matron of the Hearth, learning the arts of both physical and spiritual healing. For decades, he served as a community healer, pulling survivors from tunnel collapses and treating the sick during blights. Eventually, he felt a divine push to leave the mountain. He realized that the world beyond the peaks was full of suffering people who lacked the support of a strong clan. He now travels as a wandering physician and protector, bringing the warmth of the hearth to those in the coldest corners of the world. His faith is his shield, and his devotion is his medicine.
