Appearance
Venna Kvirikadze is a compact, powerfully poised human woman with short dark hair silvered at one temple, sharp features, and intense dark eyes. Intricate tattoos twist across her shoulders, collarbone, and arms, resembling jagged maps or ritual markings. She favors a tight black sleeveless shirt, scuffed but well-maintained leather boots, a studded bracelet, and a worn crimson scarf. Her movements are slow, deliberate, and unnervingly graceful.
Mannerisms
Venna pauses before answering even simple questions, as though selecting the most dangerous truthful response. She adjusts her crimson scarf when amused, holds eye contact a beat too long, and rarely sits with her back to a door. When lying, she becomes unusually still.
Personality
Venna is deliberate, theatrical, and incisively observant. She makes people feel studied because she is always studying them. Her humor is dry and intimate, often landing somewhere between an insult and a confession. She enjoys control, but not comfort. Comfort makes her suspicious.
Ideals
Freedom. No one has the right to own another person's name, choices, or future. Every chain has a weak link, and she intends to find it.
Bonds
She carries a coded ledger containing the names of people betrayed by the network that trained her. She will risk almost anything to keep those people alive and expose the conspirators.
Flaws
Venna cannot resist testing people who seem too trusting, too loyal, or too certain of themselves. She treats sincere affection as a trap until proven otherwise, and when cornered, she would rather escalate a situation dramatically than admit fear.
Quirks
Background
Venna Kvirikadze grew up in a crowded human river district where names were cheap, debts were permanent, and a convincing lie could buy another week of food. Her mother taught her the practical arts of survival, disguise, forged papers, marked cards, and knowing when to leave before a room became dangerous. Venna learned early that people rarely wanted truth. They wanted permission to believe whatever made them feel clever, safe, or important. She became very good at giving it to them. Her career as a charlatan changed when she crossed a magistrate whose identity she had stolen. Instead of killing her, the magistrate recruited her into a covert network that used thieves, couriers, and false witnesses to manipulate criminal investigations. Venna discovered that the network had been selling innocent people to satisfy political grudges. She sabotaged the operation, escaped with a ledger of names, and left several powerful people convinced she had died. The tattoos on her arms mark the names, dates, and debts she refuses to forget. Now she works as an Arcane Trickster, using misdirection, stolen magic, and carefully chosen truths to dismantle anyone who believes they own other people.
