Appearance
Liora is a slender high elf with warm brown skin, silver-blond hair worn in a meticulously braided crown, and bright green eyes. She dresses in well-kept leather armor beneath layered teal and cream traveling clothes, with a small wooden holy symbol tied beside her lute. She moves with a quiet, measured stride and tends to angle her body toward whoever is speaking, as though every conversation is a performance worthy of complete attention. Her grooming is precise, but her boots are almost always dusted with road grit from wandering between shrines and villages.
Mannerisms
Liora taps a gentle rhythm against her wrist whenever she is thinking. She unconsciously harmonizes with distant birds, creaking wagon wheels, and rattling dishes. When someone makes an important promise, she immediately writes it down in her prayer book.
Personality
Liora is attentive, warm, and quietly persistent. She remembers names, preferred foods, and small personal details after meeting someone only once. In danger, her calm becomes almost unnerving, because she treats fear as another kind of rhythm that can be steadied with breath and song. She is happiest in busy places where many different lives overlap, and she believes every person carries at least one story worth preserving.
Ideals
Mercy should be made practical. A kind word matters, but true goodness also means bringing food, shelter, protection, and justice to those who need them.
Bonds
The sanctuary that raised Liora entrusted her with a weather-stained hymnbook containing one unfinished song. She believes the final verse was lost with a wandering priest who disappeared while bringing aid to remote communities. Liora travels to find that verse, while offering food, courage, and music wherever the road takes her.
Flaws
Liora has difficulty accepting that some people cannot be persuaded by compassion, and she sometimes risks too much trying to redeem someone who has already chosen cruelty. She is also quietly judgmental about sloppy handwriting, broken promises, and people who interrupt music before the final note.
Quirks
Background
Liora was raised in a quiet elven sanctuary where hymns were taught as carefully as history and every prayer was accompanied by a different mode, rhythm, or breath. Her teachers expected her to become a keeper of sacred texts, but Liora discovered that the most forgotten prayers were not written in any book. They survived in the songs of pilgrims, grieving parents, village children, and travelers who had no temple nearby. She began collecting those melodies, copying them in the margins of formal scripture and learning to carry comfort beyond the sanctuary walls.
