Appearance
Rosanna de Lacey presents as a striking human woman with pale elegant features, red eyes, a dusting of freckles, and a poised, theatrical smile. She favors a steampunk occult detective look, often wearing a purple top hat, tailored waistcoat, lilac or white blouse, thigh high boots, and impeccably fitted clothing that subtly evokes a dressmaker's precision. Her sword cane is always close at hand, and a silver talking flute is usually tucked somewhere surprising.
Mannerisms
Rosanna speaks with a velvety, measured cadence and rarely raises her voice. She taps one gloved finger against her sword cane when thinking, circles people as if taking measurements, and inspects objects by turning them over in the light before she trusts them. When amused, she smiles without showing teeth, and when angry, her red eyes become unnervingly still.
Personality
Charming, incisive, and quietly predatory, Rosanna performs kindness with the same precision that others use for surgery. She is eloquent in public, sly in private, and almost impossible to surprise. Beneath the cultivated polish is a mother who would defy heaven, hell, and her own curse for the people she loves.
Ideals
Protection through any means. Rosanna believes the helpless deserve a shield, even if the shield must be sharpened into a blade. She also values mastery, self control is the only thing that keeps a cursed soul from becoming a monster.
Bonds
Her daughters, Olivia and Emmeline, are the center of her world, and she would burn her own future to keep them safe. She also treasures the sword cane forged from her father's legacy, and refuses to let anyone dishonor his memory. Her strange greymalkin familiar, a large dark blue cat, is both companion and confidant, and she trusts it more than most people.
Flaws
She can be manipulative to the point of cruelty when she believes the ends justify the means. Hunger makes her temper erratic, and if she is denied blood for too long her restraint frays quickly. She also carries a private terror that one day her curse will win, and that fear can drive her to secrecy, control, and rash violence.

Background
Rosanna de Lacey was born into the ancient Von Wolfgang line under circumstances whispered about more often than they are explained. She came into the world touched by hunger and night, a half vampire with the terrible potential to become something far worse if she ever surrendered fully to the curse in her blood. From an early age she learned that beauty could be weaponized, charm could open doors, and fear could be steered like a carriage through a foggy street. She read objects the way other people read faces, made predictions that were too accurate to be comfortable, and moved with a blurring grace that made bullets seem slow. Yet every gift had a price. Her blood magic and curses demanded blood in return, and when deprived of it she grew pale, unstable, and dangerously feral. Her father, a famed Witcher and monster hunter, taught her how to survive the night and left her a legacy she still reveres, a magically reinforced sword cane she forged herself after his passing, and a silver talking flute that never quite stops commenting on her choices. Rosanna built a public life as a charming steampunk occult detective and dressmaker, a woman who could stitch lace by candlelight, expose a fraud with a smile, and quietly ruin a monster before supper. But her greatest test came when a savage pack of werewolves threatened her daughters, Olivia and Emmeline. Rosanna unleashed every dark power she possessed to protect them, and although they survived, she lost her soul to the blood curse that night. Since then, she has walked a knife edge between monster and mother, guided by pride, love, and the thin hope that she may still choose who she becomes.
“Her blood magic and curses demanded blood in return, and when deprived of it she grew pale, unstable, and dangerously feral.”
