Appearance
Cocoa is a lean, cinnamon-brown tabaxi with dark chocolate rosettes along her shoulders, arms, and tail. Her golden eyes are bright and observant, and her whiskers are carefully trimmed to keep them from catching on her disguise work. She wears her fur brushed smooth around the face and neck, while the longer fur at her forearms is deliberately left slightly tousled. A green scarf, worn in several different knots depending on which identity she is performing, stands out against her scale mail. She moves with a light, rolling gait and rarely stands completely still, shifting her weight as though preparing to spring toward the nearest exit, rooftop, or unattended purse.
Mannerisms
Cocoa tests a room by glancing at its exits before greeting anyone. She rolls coins across her knuckles when thinking, pauses half a heartbeat before answering direct questions, and unconsciously changes her accent when excited. When she hears an unfamiliar bird call, her ears pivot toward it even if she is in the middle of a conversation.
Personality
Cocoa is warm, theatrical, and quick to make herself useful in a crisis. She treats conversation like a stage performance, matching another person's rhythm and vocabulary until they feel as though they have known her for years. Beneath the charm is a practical, watchful survivor who notices locked doors, hidden weapons, and changes in tone. She prefers clever solutions to violent ones, but once someone threatens the helpless, her playfulness becomes focused and ferocious.
Ideals
Freedom. No tyrant, law, contract, or inherited title should be allowed to decide what a person may become. If a rule exists only to protect the powerful, Cocoa considers breaking it a form of charity.
Bonds
The traveling caravan that raised Cocoa was scattered after a corrupt magistrate seized its wagons and imprisoned several performers under fabricated charges. Cocoa carries a small brass token from the old caravan and intends to find every surviving member, clear their names, and reclaim the route that once served as their home.
Flaws
Cocoa cannot resist improving a lie once it has already worked. She also has a habit of underestimating honest, uncomplicated people, and her instinct to keep an escape plan can make genuine trust feel like a dangerous luxury.
Quirks
Background
Cocoa grew up among traveling performers, peddlers, and small-time confidence artists who crossed the border roads in a brightly painted caravan. Her family taught her that a good lie was not merely a falsehood, but a story with enough truth in it to make people feel clever for believing. She learned to read a crowd before she learned to read a map, and she could imitate accents, handwriting, and the posture of a tired merchant before she was old enough to carry the caravan's largest trunks. Her favorite disguise was a kindly animal seller named Auntie Mallow, whose imaginary menagerie somehow always needed one more coin for feed.
