Appearance
Keith Daniel is a towering half-orc with cold, calculating grey eyes and skin like weathered granite. He has several nautical brandings across his barrel chest and back. He keeps his dark hair tied back in a tight, disciplined ponytail. He is rarely seen without his massive greataxe, which he keeps polished to a mirror finish. Unlike many barbarians, he carries himself with a rigid, military posture, looking more like an executioner than a wild warrior.
Mannerisms
He calls everyone by a rank or functional title rather than their name. He rarely blinks when staring someone down.
Personality
He is a man of extreme discipline and few words. He believes that order is the only thing standing between civilization and the abyss, and that order is best maintained through fear. He speaks in a low, measured growl and rarely shows emotion, even in the heat of battle. He treats his companions as crew members who must perform their duties or be discarded as dead weight.
Ideals
Hierarchy. Life is a ladder where the strong climb and the weak provide the rungs. Order must be preserved at any cost.
Bonds
He will one day own a ship again, and the ocean will recognize his authority once more.
Flaws
He has zero empathy for the suffering of others, viewing it merely as an indicator of incompetence or bad luck.
Quirks
Background
Born into a lineage of brutal mariners, Keith Daniel rose through the ranks of the merchant fleets by being more efficient and more ruthless than his peers. He served as a boatswain for years, maintaining order on his ship with an iron fist. He believed that the captain's authority was absolute, provided the captain had the strength to keep it. When his ship, The Gilded Tusk, was scuttled by an imperial navy for refusing to pay illegal tributes, Keith was the only survivor, pulling himself onto a rocky shore with nothing but his axe and a burning desire for structure. He does not seek mindless carnage. Instead, he views his internal rage as a tool to be unleashed only when the chain of command is challenged or when an obstacle prevents his progress. He now walks the land looking for a new ship and a crew capable of following his strict maritime code, viewing the chaos of the mainland as a problem that can only be solved through a strong hand and a sharp blade.
