Appearance
Perdok is a powerfully built human warrior with an epic black beard, shoulder-length black hair, and vivid orange warpaint drawn in angular bands across his brow and cheekbones. A deliberate scar runs across his face, a lasting mark of the Purge of Inderfrey. He wears heavy, darkened Norse-style armor beneath a fur-lined cloak, with a round iron shield bearing the carved knotwork of the Hallofeir Tribe. His presence is imposing, but his most memorable feature is his voice, a deep, measured rumble that becomes almost unnervingly quiet when he is angry.
Mannerisms
Perdok speaks in a low, deliberate rumble, pausing before important words as though weighing them in his palm. When rattled, he stops breathing audibly and taps the rim of his shield with two fingers in a steady war rhythm. He checks the leather cord around his animal trophy whenever he enters a new place.
Personality
Perdok is disciplined, observant, and sparing with praise. He treats promises as binding law and measures people by what they do when no one is watching. Around the Hallofeir survivors, his sternness softens into practical care. He repairs straps, portions rations fairly, and remembers every name. He dislikes boasting, but he has no patience for cowardice disguised as cleverness.
Ideals
Order. The strong must give shape to chaos, and a leader's first duty is to stand where the danger is greatest. Law is not kindness, but without law, kindness cannot survive.
Bonds
The Hallofeir Tribe is my blood, my duty, and my living oath. I will protect its people, preserve the names of those lost at Inderfrey, and hunt down any remnant of the resurrected Goliath Warlord's cult that threatens them.
Flaws
I mistake control for safety. When frightened or uncertain, I issue orders, close ranks, and leave no room for another person's judgment. I also carry a hard, quiet hatred for anything that resembles the Warlord's cult, and that hatred can make me cruel before I have learned the whole truth.
Quirks
Background
Perdok was born beneath the smoke-black peaks claimed by the Hallofeir Tribe, where a warrior was expected to know the weight of an axe, the temper of a storm, and the names of every ancestor watching from the great hall. He learned to track elk across frozen stone, read weather from the movement of ravens, and settle disputes with an even voice before they became blood feuds. Though he was never the tribe's loudest champion, his strength, patience, and refusal to abandon the helpless gradually made him the person others followed when the old leaders faltered.
