Appearance
Sfanctum is a lean, weathered human with sun-browned skin, uneven dark hair, and gray-green eyes that constantly scan the treeline. A thin scar crosses the bridge of the nose, and callused hands reveal years of farm labor, bow practice, and tool work. Sfanctum wears patched scale mail beneath a moss-colored cloak, with a carved wooden charm from the home village tied to the wrist.
Mannerisms
Sfanctum pauses before entering any room or clearing, quietly studying exits, footprints, and wind direction. When thinking, Sfanctum rubs the carved wooden wrist charm with a thumb and speaks in short, practical sentences.
Personality
Sfanctum is observant, patient, and quietly protective. They are more comfortable helping someone repair a wagon or find a safe trail than speaking in a crowded hall. Sfanctum has a dry sense of humor and treats practical competence as a form of kindness.
Ideals
People matter more than laws, titles, or borders. No one should be abandoned merely because they are poor, frightened, or overlooked.
Bonds
Sfanctum will risk everything to protect the home village and the people who live there. The carved wooden charm worn on the wrist is a reminder of the villagers who trusted Sfanctum when no trained soldier came to help.
Flaws
Sfanctum distrusts polished officers, wealthy patrons, and anyone who claims that common people should simply endure hardship. When frightened, Sfanctum becomes stubborn and may take unnecessary risks rather than admit uncertainty.

Background
Sfanctum was born in a small farming village where every person was expected to know how to mend a fence, read the weather, and stand watch when danger came down from the hills. As a young adult, Sfanctum learned to work leather and wood from an elderly craftsperson, then began ranging beyond the fields to hunt game and guide neighbors safely through the surrounding forest. Though never especially strong or imposing, Sfanctum developed a patient eye for tracks, broken branches, and the subtle signs that something dangerous had passed nearby. The turning point came when a band of marauders demanded the village surrender its grain stores. Sfanctum led the farmers through an abandoned woodland trail, used hunting snares and misleading tracks to scatter the raiders, and returned with enough stolen supplies to keep the village alive through winter. The story spread far beyond home, and the grateful villagers gave Sfanctum a worn bow, a carved wooden token, and the nickname Sfanctum, a name that had once been an affectionate childhood mispronunciation. Now Sfanctum travels as a ranger, protecting roads, villages, and wild places alike, convinced that courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision to act while afraid.
“The turning point came when a band of marauders demanded the village surrender its grain stores.”
