Appearance
A young human woman with weather-worn bronze skin, dark hair braided with oak leaves and river reeds, and clear green eyes that seem to miss nothing. She wears practical leather armor under a royal traveling cloak, with a silver signet ring tied on a cord at her throat. Her staff is carved with tiny forest scenes, and her boots are always a little muddy, as if she has just stepped out of the woods and into court by mistake.
Mannerisms
She stands straighter when addressed formally, then immediately ruins the pose by brushing dirt from her sleeves. She speaks softly to animals and plants, and when thinking, she taps the head of her staff twice against the ground as if asking the earth for advice.
Personality
Quietly compassionate, observant, and more stubborn than her gentle voice suggests. She tries to hear three sides of every dispute, but once she decides something is unjust, her patience turns into a hard, royal kind of resolve.
Ideals
Service. Authority means little if it cannot protect the helpless. A ruler proves worth by tending what others overlook, people, farmland, rivers, and the smallest things that keep a kingdom alive.
Bonds
I will protect the king, not because he is my father alone, but because the realm needs him. I also owe my first true loyalty to the old forest that taught me how to listen, and I will not let anyone poison it for profit or vanity.
Flaws
I hate being treated like a child, and I sometimes take reckless risks just to prove I can. When I feel ignored, I become stubborn enough to mistake pride for duty.
Quirks
Background
Princess Elowen was raised in towers of marble, but she grew up listening to the gardeners more than the courtiers. She learned early that a kingdom is not ruled only by decrees and banners, it is fed by rain, healed by roots, and defended by patience. When the crown called her delicate, she slipped beyond the palace walls and found the old groves where the land still remembered older oaths than the throne. There she met a druid circle that treated her not as a princess, but as a student, and that honesty changed her forever. Now she returns to court with mud on her hems and purpose in her hands. She has sworn to become useful in ways no one expected, by mending blighted fields, calming beasts, guiding travelers, and proving that a ruler can serve the realm before asking the realm to serve her. She is still young, still underestimated, and quietly determined to make that a fatal error for anyone who confuses gentleness with weakness.
