Appearance

Morgan is a 5'9" human woman with a lithe frame, blonde hair falling in loose waves to her shoulders, piercing blue eyes, high cheekbones, full lips, and an elegant aquiline nose. She wears a robe of deep blue silk embroidered with silver constellations and arcane symbols. Simple silver rings adorn several fingers, and a polished moonstone pendant rests against her chest, glowing with a soft inner light. She carries the faint scent of ozone, old parchment, and lavender.

Mannerisms

Morgan speaks in measured, precise tones and pauses before answering even simple questions. When thinking, she traces invisible geometric patterns in the air with one finger. She often turns her moonstone pendant between her fingers while studying someone, and she has a habit of glancing toward the nearest window whenever she senses an important decision approaching.

Personality

Morgan is intensely curious, profoundly patient, and quietly warm. She views time as a tapestry to be studied rather than a river to be rushed. Her confidence comes from preparation rather than arrogance, though her unnerving clarity can make others feel as if their secrets have already been read. She is compassionate toward those caught in events beyond their understanding, but she has little patience for willful ignorance or careless use of magic.

Ideals

Knowledge is a responsibility, not a possession. The future belongs to everyone, and those who glimpse it are obligated to lessen needless suffering without becoming tyrants over the present.

Bonds

Her wizard tower and its vast archive contain the life's work of her missing mentor. Morgan will risk almost anything to recover the mentor and protect the archive from those who would misuse its prophecies.

Flaws

Morgan is so accustomed to considering every possible outcome that she can become paralyzed by uncertainty. She has difficulty accepting that some events must simply be lived rather than analyzed, and she sometimes treats emotional decisions as intellectual problems to be solved.

Quirks

Keeps a private journal of dreams that later prove prophetic.
Names each of the enchanted instruments in her tower.
Collects broken clockwork pieces from ancient magical devices.
Never sits with her back to a door unless she has already checked the room's likely futures.
Adds a pinch of lavender to the ink she uses for particularly important prophecies.

Background

Morgan was born to an unremarkable human family, but from childhood she displayed an extraordinary instinct for patterns. She saw constellations in spilled flour, recognized recurring symbols in old household ledgers, and could often predict a visitor's arrival moments before anyone heard the knock. A traveling scholar recognized these talents and arranged for her education at an arcane academy, where Morgan quickly distinguished herself through patience, precision, and an unsettling ability to identify the most probable outcome of an experiment before it began. Her studies eventually led her to the School of Divination. Rather than treating prophecy as a commandment, Morgan learned to regard time as a tapestry of possibilities, each thread fragile but meaningful. Her research uncovered references to a vanished observatory whose astronomers had supposedly mapped events that had not yet occurred. Using those clues, she built her own wizard tower, a slender blue-stone structure crowned with a rotating orrery and enchanted lenses. From this tower, Morgan studies the movements of the heavens, investigates threats before they emerge, and quietly intervenes when a future she has glimpsed threatens the people she has come to care about. Her tower is both home and laboratory, filled with scrolls, star charts, brass instruments, and carefully labeled relics from forgotten civilizations.
