Appearance
Vaelasra has the lithe and graceful build characteristic of the High Elves, but her skin is darkened by years spent beneath the forest canopy. Her raven-black hair is long and straight, often woven with tiny living ferns or sprigs of moss. She wears simple, dark green leather armor that has been scarred by brambles. She carries only a heavy ironwood staff, which she grips firmly even when at rest. Her eyes are the color of deep forest moss, reflecting an intense focus.
Mannerisms
She tilts her head slightly to listen to the rustling of trees before making a decision. She moves with a slow, deliberate pace that suggests she is never in a hurry.
Personality
Vaelasra is pragmatically quiet, speaking in a low, rustling tone. She views civilization as a slow-moving garden that occasionally needs pruning. She is not one for elven social pleasantries, finding the directness of a growing vine more honest than any diplomat. She values observation over action, often standing perfectly still for minutes until the correct moment to strike or move arises.
Ideals
Balance. Life must be allowed to grow wild, but it must also be kept from consuming itself through strategic control.
Bonds
She carries a rare, obsidian seed from her ancestral home, waiting for the perfect untouched soil to plant it.
Flaws
She possesses a deep distrust of anyone who prefers stone walls over trees, often acting coldly toward urban dwellers.
Quirks
Background
Vaelasra was raised in the curated spires of a high elven enclave where every leaf was clipped and every flower planned. Disturbed by this sterile beauty, she spent her youth in the unmapped tangles of the forest, learning how the most aggressive vines could survive where nothing else would. When her elders tried to incinerate a section of the forest to clear it for a new spire, she used the very vines they hated to entangle their torches and snuff out their ambition. She was exiled for her lack of refinement, taking her staff and her secrets into the wild. She has since served as a guide through the most treacherous overgrowths, teaching those she leads that survival belongs to those who know how to cling to the earth. She wanders now in search of a place where the wild can grow without the pruning shears of civilization.
“She was exiled for her lack of refinement, taking her staff and her secrets into the wild.”
