Appearance
A broad-shouldered warforged woman built from warm brown wood, dark iron bands, and pale brass fittings, with smooth plates worn satin-bright by years of handling farm tools and training staffs. Her face is calm and almost human at first glance, though her jaw is distinctly mechanical and opens with a quiet double-click when she eats or laughs. She stands with her weight balanced over the balls of her feet, never quite settling onto her heels, as if every moment might become a lesson in movement. A faded green scarf is wrapped around her neck, and small seed charms hang from one wrist.
Mannerisms
When listening, Sifa angles her head slightly and becomes perfectly still except for the faint ticking of a timing wheel in her chest. Before a difficult decision, she taps two fingers against her staff three times. She laughs rarely, but when she does, her jaw opens farther than expected with a soft sequence of clicks.
Personality
Sifa is patient, observant, and quietly warm. She prefers practical kindness to grand declarations, and she measures trust by whether someone returns a borrowed tool clean and sharp. She enjoys listening to people explain ordinary work, especially tasks she has never performed herself. Though she rarely raises her voice, she has a stubborn inner certainty that makes her difficult to intimidate.
Ideals
Balance. A person is not defined by what they were built to do, nor by what others fear they might become. Every life deserves the freedom to choose its own weight.
Bonds
The people of her first village gave her a life after war, and she will defend their homes, harvests, and children as fiercely as she would defend her own body. She also keeps a cracked brass maker's plate from her original construction, hoping one day to learn who designed her and why.
Flaws
She has difficulty accepting help, because she believes usefulness is the closest thing she has to a soul. When someone praises her, she becomes suspicious and quietly looks for the hidden request. She can also become stubbornly literal when frightened, following an old instruction long after circumstances have changed.
Quirks
Background
Sifa was assembled in a quiet farming settlement after the war, not as a weapon but as a laborer. Her first memories are of lifting irrigation stones, repairing fences, and learning the names of every household by the sound of their footsteps. The villagers treated her as a daughter before she understood what family meant. When a band of armed extortionists came to seize the harvest, Sifa stood in the narrow millhouse doorway and refused to move. She had no formal training then, only a sturdy work staff and an instinct for balance, but she held the doorway long enough for the villagers to organize and drive the raiders away.
