Appearance
Kira is a goliath wizard with the build of a siege engine, standing about 8 feet tall by ordinary goliath standards, though he loudly insists that he is 90 feet tall. His enormous frame is wrapped in a carefully maintained midnight-blue robe reinforced with leather shoulder pieces, and tiny silver charms clink from his belt whenever he moves. He keeps his hair braided with colored prayer cords and carries a spellbook nearly as wide as a tavern door. A gray-and-white cat named Pockets usually rides on his shoulders or sits atop his spellbook, watching everyone with judgmental calm.
Mannerisms
Kira leans down until his face is uncomfortably close when listening to someone, then nods with solemn intensity. He taps his quarterstaff three times before casting a spell, loudly announces Pockets’ opinions as if they were divine revelations, and measures every doorway with his hand before attempting to enter.
Personality
Kira is confident, exuberant, and cheerfully disruptive. He treats every conversation as a possible lecture and every mysterious object as an invitation to experiment. Despite his intimidating physique, he is affectionate toward animals, remarkably patient with frightened strangers, and genuinely eager to help people understand magic. He speaks with ceremonial gravity about mundane events, especially meals, weather, and the personal greatness of his cat.
Ideals
Freedom. No temple, archmage, god, or ancient tradition owns the truth. Knowledge should be explored wherever curiosity leads, even when the answer is inconvenient or dangerous.
Bonds
Pockets is my cat, familiar, companion, and undisputed supervisor. I will risk almost anything to protect him. I also carry the temple’s oldest prayer book, and I intend to prove that its strangest passages describe arcane magic rather than divine intervention.
Flaws
I am convinced that being physically enormous makes me an expert on nearly every subject. I also become offended when anyone questions my claim that I am 90 feet tall, even though doors, ceilings, and official records provide strong evidence to the contrary.

Background
Kira was raised in a high mountain temple where the priests believed the distant rumble of storms was the voice of the heavens. As a young goliath, he was assigned to carry water, stone offerings, and sacred books up paths that exhausted every other acolyte. He quickly discovered that he could memorize entire pages after one reading, although he had a habit of adding dramatic illustrations of himself towering over mountains. The temple elders tolerated his exaggerations because his prayers were sincere, his handwriting was magnificent, and his cat, Pockets, seemed to know when someone nearby was lying. Kira’s devotion eventually became tangled with arcane study. He wanted to understand whether divine miracles and wizardly magic were truly different powers, or merely different names for forces too large for ordinary people to grasp. His research angered conservative priests when he began annotating holy texts with spell diagrams, so he left the temple with his spellbook, holy symbol, and Pockets. Now he travels in search of forgotten temples, ancient libraries, and anyone willing to debate metaphysics with a supposedly 90-foot-tall wizard. He is powerful, clever, and occasionally impossible to fit through a normal doorway.
