Your spellbook starts with six 1st-level wizard spells, and you can add two wizard spells to it whenever you gain a wizard level after 1. You prepare a number of level 1+ wizard spells from your spellbook equal to the Prepared Spells column, changing them whenever you finish a Long Rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability, and you can use an arcane focus or your spellbook as a spellcasting focus.

  You can cast any ritual spell in your spellbook as a ritual, even if it is not prepared, as long as you read from the book while casting it.

• Arcane RecoveryLevel 1

  When you finish a Short Rest, you can recover expended spell slots with a combined level equal to no more than half your wizard level, rounded up, and none of the recovered slots can be level 6 or higher. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a Long Rest.

When you cast an Evocation spell that affects other creatures you can see, you can choose a number of them equal to 1 plus the spell's level to automatically succeed on their saving throws and take no damage if they would normally take half damage on a success.
