Appearance
Virdriel is a Wood Elf of striking, feral intensity. She has sun-bronzed skin and hair the color of autumn leaves, usually bound tightly in leather cords. Her eyes are an unusual amber hue, often described as predatory. She wears muted green and brown leathers that have been worn down and reinforced with animal furs and bone accents. She moves with a silence that is almost unnatural, her presence often going unnoticed until she chooses to reveal herself.
Mannerisms
Virdriel habitually touches her throat as if checking for a pulse, and she has a tendency to tilt her head sharply to the side whenever she hears an unexpected noise.
Personality
Virdriel is quiet and observant, preferring to watch from the shadows rather than engage in small talk. She views the world through the lens of a hunter, evaluating every person and situation for potential threat or opportunity. She feels a profound connection to the cycle of life and death, and she treats every kill with a grim, respectful silence. She is not cruel, but she is intensely pragmatic, often coming across as cold to those who do not understand the harsh realities of the wild.
Ideals
Nature. The world is a place of predator and prey. I will not be the prey. Strength is the only thing that ensures survival in a world of change.
Bonds
I carry the memory of my first hunt, and I will one day return to my forest to show my tribe that my power is not a curse, but a evolution.
Flaws
I struggle to see others as anything more than potential prey or competition. I find it difficult to maintain a consistent identity when I can inhabit so many others.

Background
Born deep within the ancient forests, Virdriel was a prodigy of the hunt. Her life changed forever when she pursued a strange, shadowy beast into a forgotten cavern. After a brutal struggle that left her near death, she managed to slay the creature and, in a moment of primal desperation, consumed its heart. This ritual granted her a supernatural curse, or perhaps a gift, the ability to weave the shadows of those she has slain over her own form. She can take the shape of any creature she has personally ended, a power she keeps hidden from all but her closest allies. Her tribe found her practice of mimicry to be an abomination, an offense against the spirits of the ancestors. They cast her out, marking her as a ghost among the living. Now, she wanders the borderlands, using her talents as a rogue to survive in a world that fears her. Every shape she assumes is a memory of a life she has taken, and she carries those echoes with her like a living shroud. She seeks to find the source of her strange ability, hoping to master the darkness before it masters her.
