Appearance
Nova is a lean, athletic human woman with fair skin, high cheekbones, a straight nose, and sharp pale-blue eyes. A faint scar crosses her collarbone, and another marks her forearm. Her blonde hair is cut in a neat, chin-length asymmetrical bob. In modern settings, she wears a matte-black sound-dampening tactical bodysuit beneath a charcoal modular vest, dark cargo pants, silent-soled boots, and thin tactical gloves. Her equipment is styled as modern firearms and covert-operations gear, including a suppressed submachine gun, compact pistols, throwing knives, lockpicks, medical supplies, and surveillance tools.
Mannerisms
Nova speaks in short, precise sentences and rarely repeats herself. She habitually checks exits, reflective surfaces, and the hands of everyone in a room. When thinking, she taps two fingers against her thumb in a slow rhythm. She maintains eye contact for exactly one second longer than is comfortable, then looks away as if recording the reaction.
Personality
Nova is quiet, analytical, and intensely self-controlled. She values competence, preparation, and results more than charm or ceremony. She does not enjoy violence, but she accepts it without hesitation when she believes it is necessary to protect an objective or a person under her watch. Beneath her controlled exterior is a fierce capacity for loyalty, though she shows affection through practical acts such as checking someone's weapon, memorizing their allergies, or silently taking the most dangerous watch.
Ideals
Competence is mercy. A prepared operative prevents suffering that an unprepared hero would merely avenge. Loyalty must be earned through action, and once earned, it must be defended without hesitation.
Bonds
Nova carries a battered identification tag belonging to the only fellow prisoner who helped her survive the black site. She secretly protects the prisoner's surviving family and intends to dismantle the organization that authorized the facility.
Flaws
Nova assumes every kindness has a price. She has difficulty accepting help, cannot easily forgive betrayal, and responds to uncertainty by trying to control every variable. When forced to choose between compassion and mission success, she usually chooses the mission, then privately questions whether that makes her any different from the people who imprisoned her.
Quirks
Background
Nova was raised in a disciplined household where preparation was treated as a form of respect. As a human with no inherited supernatural advantage, she learned early to compensate through observation, conditioning, and relentless practice. Her sharp mind and controlled temperament led her into military reconnaissance, where she became skilled at tracking, infiltration, urban survival, and operating alone behind hostile lines. She served as a scout and covert operative, earning a reputation for completing missions that others considered impossible. During a deep-cover operation, Nova was captured and held for six months in a black-site prison. Interrogation broke bones, damaged nerves, and stripped away every comfortable illusion she had about loyalty. What remained was a cold, durable certainty that survival depended on preparation and trust proven through action. She escaped by exploiting weaknesses in her captors, then disappeared from official records. Later, a clandestine training program known as Stalker refined her abilities into something more precise and dangerous. Now she works as a hunter, infiltrator, and intelligence operative, moving through modern training facilities and hostile urban environments with the patience of a predator. Nova does not seek glory. She seeks information, leverage, and the quiet assurance that no one will ever put her in a cage again.
