Appearance
A lean male aarakocra with slate-gray feathers edged in pale silver, a narrow hooked beak, and bright amber eyes. He wears weathered scale mail beneath blue-gray prayer cloth, with a round wooden holy symbol carved as a spiral gust. His feathers carry the clean scent of cold air, juniper smoke, and sun-warmed stone. Before speaking, he pauses and draws a soft breath through his beak, producing a faint whistle that resembles wind passing through a mountain cleft.
Mannerisms
He pauses before answering, inhales with a faint whistle, and often tilts his head toward the nearest open window as though listening for distant weather. When anxious, he smooths the feathers along his forearms in careful, repetitive strokes.
Personality
Soft-spoken and observant, Shesh treats every conversation like a change in the weather. He is patient with frightened people and surprisingly firm with bullies. Though he prefers peace, he becomes direct and unyielding when someone threatens the helpless. He has a dry sense of humor that appears in brief, perfectly timed remarks.
Ideals
Protection. The wind belongs to no one, so its strength should shelter the exposed, carry aid to the stranded, and humble those who use power only for themselves.
Bonds
Gullcage is under his protection, and he will risk almost anything to return with knowledge or aid that can keep the village safe. He also carries a shard of the shrine bell, which he believes still rings in the wind when danger approaches.
Flaws
He mistakes caution for wisdom when frightened, delaying action while he searches for a sign from the wind. He is also quietly judgmental of people who complain about weather, hunger, or hardship, because he believes suffering should be endured without burdening others.

Background
Shesh Thun grew up in Gullcage, a mountain village built into a shelf of black rock where every home is anchored against the high winds. The villagers worship the wind god not as a distant ruler, but as the breath that carries seeds, warning cries, and the voices of the dead. As a fledgling, Shesh learned to read weather by the movement of cloud shadows across the cliffs. He also learned that the wind could be generous one moment and murderous the next, a lesson that shaped his reverence for tempest as both judgment and protection. At the village shrine, Shesh served as an acolyte, tending the incense braziers and memorizing the old storm prayers. During a season of unnatural thunder, a lightning strike shattered the shrine bell and injured several villagers. Shesh survived by calling down a sudden gust that broke the falling stones before they crushed the trapped worshipers. His elders recognized the first sign of divine power and sent him beyond Gullcage to learn how to wield it responsibly. He now travels as a gentle guardian of the vulnerable, seeking signs that the strange storms were not an accident and carrying a small fragment of the broken bell as a reminder that even sacred forces must be respected.
