Appearance
Shiria is a six-foot-tall human woman with a broad, powerful frame shaped by years of military training and close combat. Her warm olive skin is marked by old scars, the most prominent a jagged silver line running down her left cheek. Her storm-gray eyes are sharp and watchful. Her dark hair is worn in a severe undercut, with the longer top pulled into a tight ponytail. She has high cheekbones, a straight nose, and a firm, unyielding expression. In modern settings she wears a charcoal turtleneck, reinforced dark jeans, heavy tactical boots, and a silver watch when off duty. In combat, she wears matte black tactical armor and carries modern firearms, a combat knife, and compact tactical equipment.
Mannerisms
Shiria checks exits, sightlines, and the position of everyone in a room before sitting down. She keeps her hands still when listening, but one finger taps a silent rhythm against her wrist when she is assessing a threat. Her voice is low and precise, and she rarely repeats an instruction.
Personality
Disciplined, pragmatic, and intensely loyal once trust has been earned, Shiria values preparation over talent, direct action over speeches, and improvement over excuses. She speaks with quiet authority and rarely wastes motion or words. She does not seek violence for its own sake, but once violence becomes necessary, she is ruthlessly efficient. Competence earns her respect faster than charm ever could.
Ideals
Duty. Protection is not a promise made in comfort. It is a decision made when the situation is dangerous, the odds are poor, and everyone else is looking for a way out.
Bonds
She is bound to the survivors of the failed extraction and will risk almost anything to protect them. She also considers her current security organization a duty rather than an employer, and she will defend its people as long as its leaders remain worthy of her loyalty.
Flaws
She has no patience for cowardice, incompetence, or excuses, and her contempt often becomes obvious before she realizes she has shown it. Once she decides someone is a threat, she finds it difficult to reconsider, even when new evidence demands restraint. She also believes that if she is capable of solving a problem herself, asking for help is a failure of discipline.
Quirks
Background
Shiria grew up in a hard-edged industrial district where discipline was not a virtue but a survival skill. She joined the military young, first because it offered structure and then because she discovered that she was exceptionally good at protecting people under pressure. Her strength, endurance, and refusal to break made her a natural heavy infantry soldier. She learned to move through smoke, breach fortified positions, and hold a line long after others had retreated. Her scars came from a failed extraction in which her unit was ordered to abandon civilians. Shiria disobeyed, returned for them, and carried three wounded people out while the building collapsed around her.
“Her strength, endurance, and refusal to break made her a natural heavy infantry soldier.”
