- Divine SenseLevel 1
As an action, Wúlf can open his awareness to detect the presence of strong evil or good until the end of his next turn. He knows the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet that is not behind total cover, but he does not learn its identity. He can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 plus his Charisma modifier, minimum once, and regains all uses after a long rest.
- Lay on HandsLevel 1
Wúlf has a pool of healing power that restores a total of 5 hit points. As an action, he can touch a creature and draw power from the pool to restore hit points, up to the amount remaining. Alternatively, he can spend 5 hit points from the pool to cure one disease or neutralize one poison. This feature cannot affect undead or constructs, and the pool replenishes after a long rest.

Appearance
Wúlf is a medium-height, muscular half-elf with ash-blond hair worn in a loose braid and a neatly trimmed beard. His green eyes are intact but unfocused, and he is completely blind. He navigates by sound, touch, memory, and the faint changes in air around him. He wears battered chain mail beneath a dark blue surcoat, carries a longsword at his hip, and keeps his shield polished despite the dents. He often smiles warmly when speaking, creating an unsettling contrast with the grief in his quiet pauses.
Mannerisms
Wúlf turns his face toward every voice, but his eyes rarely settle on the person speaking. When calm, he smiles and speaks with a warm, almost playful rhythm. When angry, his breathing becomes measured and unnaturally quiet, and he stops making jokes. He tests unfamiliar spaces by tapping the floor with the pommel of his sword and counts doorways under his breath.
Personality
Wúlf is openly cheerful in small moments, quick to laugh, eager to share food, and surprisingly gentle with frightened people. Beneath that brightness is a deep, constant sadness that he hides behind humor and motion. He dislikes being pitied and insists on doing difficult things himself. He is observant in unconventional ways, reading footsteps, pauses, breath, and changes in a person's voice. His friendliness is genuine, but so is the dangerous stillness that appears whenever his family's murder is mentioned.
Ideals
Freedom. No lord, church, prophecy, or oath has the right to decide what justice must look like. People deserve the chance to choose their own path, even when that freedom makes the world dangerous.
Bonds
The voices of his family's killers live in his memory, and he will cross kingdoms to find them. He also carries his family's signet ring, not as proof of rank, but as a promise that their name will be remembered for more than the way they died.
Flaws
His need for revenge overrides caution, duty, and sometimes common sense. He can be manipulated by anyone who convincingly imitates the voices of his family or claims knowledge of the killers. He also treats forgiveness as a luxury meant for people whose loved ones were not taken from them.
Quirks
Background
Wúlf Bjørnson was raised in a prosperous half-elven household where human ambition and elven patience were held in equal measure. His family governed a small northern estate and taught him that nobility was not a matter of silk, titles, or inherited land, but of standing between the vulnerable and whatever threatened them. He trained with the sword under the household master-at-arms, learned courtly history from his tutors, and developed a talent for making people laugh when a room grew tense. His blindness came later, when raiders murdered his entire family and forced him to listen as each life was taken. He survived only because his captors wanted him to remember the sound of their voices. Afterward, Wúlf abandoned the expectations of his birth and swore himself to a harsher kind of protection. A traveling knight found him wandering through the ashes of his estate and taught him to fight without sight, using footfalls, breathing, vibrations, and the pressure of a weapon moving through the air. Wúlf has not yet taken a sacred oath, but he has begun walking the path of a paladin, drawing strength from stubborn conviction rather than certainty or obedience. He hunts the people responsible with reckless determination. Even so, he still gives food to frightened travelers, jokes with children, and offers mercy when he believes someone can become better than the worst thing they have done.
