Appearance
A tall, athletic elf with a dancer's posture and a fighter's scars, wearing a travel-stained performer’s sash over patched leathers. Her silver hair is braided tightly for battle, and her bright green eyes seem to flash with amusement one moment and ferocity the next. She carries a greataxe slung like a stage prop, and a carved drum hangs at her hip beside a row of javelins.
Mannerisms
She taps a steady rhythm on any surface when thinking, and unconsciously squares her shoulders as if preparing for applause whenever a room grows quiet. In conversation she smiles with one side of her mouth, like she is always half a beat ahead of everyone else.
Personality
Bright, daring, and impossible to ignore, Lethariel speaks like every sentence might become part of a performance. She is generous with laughter, quick to challenge bullies, and surprisingly protective of shy people. Beneath the showmanship is a stubborn core that refuses to let pain have the final word.
Ideals
Freedom. No one should be chained to expectation, tradition, or fear. A life is meant to be lived loudly, honestly, and on one's own terms.
Bonds
She keeps a cracked wooden drumstick from her first troupe, and she will risk almost anything to protect the memory of the people who taught her to turn anger into art.
Flaws
She cannot resist turning a dangerous moment into a performance, even when caution would be wiser. Praise makes her reckless, and criticism makes her stubborn. If someone mocks her work, she takes it personally and may try to prove a point with her axe instead of her words.
Quirks
Background
Lethariel was born beneath a moonlit canopy in an elven settlement that prized grace, patience, and perfect control. She had all the grace expected of her people, but none of the patience. While other children practiced archery in silence, she turned every drill into a spectacle, leaping over roots, spinning through sparring forms, and beating rhythms on fallen logs until the elders could no longer decide whether to scold her or applaud. When a traveling troupe passed through her home, she ran off with them for a season and discovered that the world loved a performer who could make beauty look dangerous. That lesson became her second life. She learned the drums, the war chant, and the trick of making a crowd laugh just before she left them breathless. But there was another gift in her that no teacher could polish. When anger rose in her, it did not dim her art, it sharpened it. Her performances became more fierce, her movements more explosive, her axe work a kind of thunderous dance. Now she wanders from town to town as a loud, unforgettable showpiece, half minstrel and half storm, chasing cheers, coin, and the strange certainty that somewhere out there is a stage large enough for both her music and her fury.
“She had all the grace expected of her people, but none of the patience.”
