Corsian wears practical leather armor softened by travel, a weathered cloak lined with leaf motifs, and carries himself like someone used to slipping quietly through brush and shadow. His hands are nicked from foraging and firewood, and he often smells faintly of pine smoke, wild herbs, and rain-wet earth.

Soft-spoken but resolute, Corsian is kind to the weak, patient with animals, and stubborn when someone needs protecting. He is often self-conscious about his reputation, yet he answers unkindness with calm determination rather than bitterness. In close company, his dry humor appears in small, surprising flashes, usually after he has spent too long pretending not to care.

Corsian was born in Robinwood, a woodland settlement tended by wood elves who believed that caring for the forest was the highest calling of their people. His earliest days were shadowed by grief, because both of his parents died in what the village called terrible accidents. Whether fate was cruel or the gods were simply silent, the result was the same. Some in the community decided the child himself must be cursed. Their mockery clung to him, twisting his name into Cursian or simply Curse, as if words alone could make tragedy less frightening. The one who refused that cruelty was Fōda, the old royal cook who took Corsian in and raised him like a son. Corsian spent his youth in Fōda's kitchen, but every attempt to cook ended in disaster, singed herbs, ruined stews, and smoke-stained laughter that only deepened the rumors around him. So Fōda sent him beyond the palace walls to gather ingredients instead, and in those excursions Corsian found his true home. He learned the calls of birds, the habits of deer, the healing uses of roots and moss, and the temperaments of trees after rain or frost. In the quiet of the woods, he began to imitate the creatures he admired and felt the first stirrings of druidic power answer back. It was on those foraging paths that Corsian met Lufu Lorindur, the Woodland Princess, who escaped her gilded life to walk beside him among the roots and leaves. What began as companionship became a secret romance, tender and impossible. When her parents discovered it, Corsian was forced to leave before love could become a death sentence. Yet Lufu gave him hope before the parting was complete, telling him that wealth, fame, or power might yet win the right to stand at her side.
