Appearance
A towering female orc with moss green skin, scar-knotted shoulders, and hands like iron mallets. She wears wrapped knuckles beneath a sleeveless traveler’s harness, with old ring-scars and bruised knuckles that never seem to stay healed for long. Her black hair is shaved on one side and braided on the other, threaded with tiny trophy beads from hard-won bouts. She carries herself like a prizefighter, loose in the shoulders, coiled in the hips, always measuring the distance to the next opponent.
Mannerisms
She rolls her shoulders before speaking, taps her knuckles together when thinking, and checks exits out of habit. When pleased, she nods once, sharply, as if acknowledging a clean hit. In tense moments she breathes through her nose like she is counting rounds.
Personality
Calm until the moment she is not, Ruva speaks with the measured patience of someone who knows exactly how much force lives in her hands. She is protective, competitive, and unexpectedly kind to children, cooks, and the wounded. In battle she becomes all motion and grin, treating violence as a craft and every clean opening as a lesson.
Ideals
Discipline. Power is only noble when it protects the helpless and never excuses cruelty. A fighter should master herself before she ever tries to master another person.
Bonds
She keeps the broken mouthguard of her first trainer, a patient old boxer who taught her that mercy can hit as hard as rage. She will cross any distance to repay a debt to the people who fed, sheltered, or believed in her when she was broke and hungry.
Flaws
She mistakes restraint for weakness more often than she admits, and if someone challenges her pride in public, she has trouble walking away. She can be unnervingly blunt, especially when she believes a truth needs to be delivered like a punch.
Quirks
Background
Born on the edge of a warcamp and raised by the hard weather of the open road, she learned early that strength meant little unless it could be guided. Her first teachers were not scholars, but travelers, hunters, and arena fighters who traded lessons for meals. She grew into an orc of unusual patience, the sort who could sit still for an hour before exploding into a storm of movement. In the pit, she discovered the rhythm of footwork, timing, and the sweet geometry of a clean punch, and the crowd began calling her a pugilist long before she knew the word herself. When her clan wanted a raider, she refused. When a promoter wanted a monster, she laughed and broke his chair. She now wanders from settlement to settlement, working as a scout, protector, and occasional challenger in informal bouts. Her fury is real, but it is disciplined fury, the kind that comes from choosing every fight instead of being owned by it. She has the instincts of a barbarian, the showmanship of a prizefighter, and the quiet conviction that no one should ever be written off because of what they were born as.
