Appearance
Aurelia is a tall, statuesque drow woman with obsidian skin, waist-length silver-white hair, and vivid crimson eyes. Fine House Malice tattoos spiral across her temples and collarbone, partly concealed beneath a high iron gorget. She wears polished chain mail beneath a severe black officer's coat, with a crimson sash marking her inquisitorial authority. Her expression is composed and aristocratic, but her smile carries the cold promise of a verdict already decided.
Mannerisms
Aurelia speaks softly, forcing others to lean closer when she issues an order. She straightens her gloves before delivering a threat, pauses to inspect the hands of anyone she suspects of lying, and addresses even enemies by their full titles before passing judgment.
Personality
Aurelia is controlled, observant, and relentlessly self-possessed. She rarely raises her voice, because she believes anger is a confession of weakness. She treats every conversation as an interrogation and every battlefield as a courtroom. Despite her cruelty, she is not impulsive. She rewards competence, keeps exact promises, and has a genuine respect for soldiers who hold their position when retreat would be easier.
Ideals
Order. A disciplined hierarchy is the only barrier between civilization and chaos. Those who command must be feared enough to preserve the law.
Bonds
House Malice gave me rank, purpose, and power. I will restore its supremacy, even if I must destroy those within the house who have grown complacent.
Flaws
I cannot tolerate defiance from people I consider beneath me, and I often mistake obedience for loyalty. When my authority is challenged, I would rather escalate than admit uncertainty.

Background
Aurelia Malice was born beneath the vaulted darkness of the Underdark, the third daughter of a minor branch of House Malice. From childhood, she was taught that law was not a shield for the weak, but a weapon wielded by those with the will to enforce it. Her tutors trained her in interrogation, military doctrine, and the ceremonial language of judgment. When a rival faction attempted to undermine her family through treasonous correspondence, Aurelia exposed the plot, arranged the conspirators' public sentencing, and earned the title Lady Inquisitor before she had reached her first century. Her authority was later formalized through military service. Aurelia commanded patrols through dangerous caverns, broke smuggling rings, and made examples of deserters with ruthless efficiency. She learned to favor the sword over elaborate cruelty, believing a swift defeat more useful than theatrical suffering. Now she travels on the surface as an agent of House Malice, officially seeking threats to drow security and unofficially gathering leverage against every noble, mercenary, and priest who might one day challenge her family's power. She considers adventuring another form of military campaign, and every companion a potential asset, liability, or future witness.
