Appearance
Ssth-Ka has tough, moss-green scales with darker stripes along their back. Their eyes are a piercing, motionless yellow like a predatory bird. They wear simple, darkened leather belts and bandoliers across their chest to hold daggers and trophies of bone. Their movements are jerky but silent, reminiscent of a crocodile sliding into the water.
Mannerisms
They rarely blink and speak in short, clipped sentences. They often crouch on chairs rather than sitting in them.
Personality
Ssth-Ka views the world through a lens of survival and utility. They are not mean, but they lack sentimentality. They speak in literal terms and find humanoid metaphors confusing. To them, an ally is a useful pack member, and an enemy is potential meat or a threat to be neutralized efficiently.
Ideals
Logic. Emotions cloud judgment. Actions should be dictated by what ensures the best outcome for the group.
Bonds
I carry a polished crocodile tooth from my first successful hunt. It reminds me of the home I will one day reclaim.
Flaws
I have no concept of money or manners. I might accidentally eat something, or someone, that the party considered off-limits.

Background
Ssth-Ka was born in the Thousand-Dread Marshes, where they learned that the only thing worse than being hungry was being prey. Their tribe, the Cold-Moon hunters, lived in harmony with the swamp until a group of industrial developers moved in to drain the land. Ssth-Ka watched as the outsiders used machines to do what should have been done with teeth and claw. When their clan scattered, Ssth-Ka realized they needed to understand the mechanics of civilization to better hunt the ones who took their home. Moving to the city, Ssth-Ka found that the shadows of alleyways were not so different from the shadows of cypress roots. They offered their services as a tracker and fixer, using their reptilian patience to wait out targets for days. They do not kill for sport, but they never leave a job unfinished. Each gold coin earned is saved with a single goal in mind, buying back the ancestral spawning grounds of the Thousand-Dread Marshes, one acre at a time.
