Appearance
A lithe young woman with sun-gold eyes, ash-blond hair worn in a practical, uneven braid, and faint luminous patterns that shimmer across her shoulders when her emotions rise. She dresses like a street survivor first, with layered travel-worn clothes, hidden pockets, and well-kept but humble boots, yet there is an unmistakable radiance in her bearing, as if a chapel candle were trying to become the dawn.
Mannerisms
She speaks softly when angry, as though trying not to wake something dangerous inside herself. When thinking, she rubs the edge of her token with her thumb, and when nervous she glances up at rooftops and windows as if measuring escape routes.
Personality
Kind but wary, Liora is generous with food, protection, and second chances, yet slow to accept help for herself. She has a dry, street-honed wit, a stubborn sense of justice, and a habit of staring into the distance when she feels the strange light in her blood beginning to stir.
Ideals
Mercy, because power is only holy when it shields the powerless. She believes every soul deserves a chance to choose a better path, including her own.
Bonds
She keeps a small, weathered token from the only person who ever treated her like she mattered, and she would cross a kingdom to protect anyone else cast aside as she was.
Flaws
She distrusts comfort and authority alike, assumes hidden motives when someone offers kindness, and can become reckless when an abandoned child or helpless stranger reminds her of herself.
Quirks
Background
Liora grew up where the city forgot to look, sleeping under stairs, in drainage culverts, and once, for a winter, inside a collapsed bell tower that still rang when the wind was right. She learned early how to steal bread without being caught, how to read a crowd by the angle of its shoulders, and how to vanish when cruelty turned its head. Even then, something strange moved in her blood. Dogs calmed when she passed. Wounds that should have festered did not. In moments of danger, a warmth like sunrise stirred behind her ribs, though she did not understand it and had no words for the quiet pull that seemed to be calling her toward some higher purpose. At thirteen, after a beating left her half-conscious in an alley, the hidden power within her erupted in white-gold light. A wound sealed itself before her terrified eyes, and the darkness around her flinched as if struck. Since then, she has lived between two questions, what was lost when she was abandoned, and what was placed in her instead. She has taken to the road and the margins of civilization, helping the helpless where she can and hunting rumors of her birth, her celestial lineage, and the reason the heavens chose a foundling child of the gutter to bear their fire. She does not seek glory. She seeks truth, and perhaps, if she is lucky, a name for the voice in her blood that has never stopped calling her home.
“At thirteen, after a beating left her half-conscious in an alley, the hidden power within her erupted in white-gold light.”
