Background
Silas Vane was born into the soot stained alleys of Oakhaven. His horns and crimson skin marked him as an outsider before he ever spoke a word. Left to fend for himself in the cutthroat underworld, he quickly learned that a silver tongue and a quick hand were worth more than a full plate of armor. He joined the guild known as the Silent Hands, where he honed his ability to vanish into shadows and use his minor infernal tricks to baffle city guards. Life in a gang taught him that loyalty is a luxury for the rich. After a botched heist where his associates fled and left him to face the guard alone, Silas escaped through a maze of sewers and vowed never to trust so blindly again. He now operates as a freelance acquisition specialist, moving from city to city to keep his face unknown and his pockets full. He holds no love for the law but finds a peculiar satisfaction in outsmarting those who think they are above the common folk.
