Appearance
Sshevasha is a striking female tiefling with deep red skin, glossy black hair, swept-back goat horns, and amber eyes that reflect red in darkness. She wears a practical but revealing ensemble inspired by a belly dancer's costume, consisting of layered silk scarves, fitted leather bands, jeweled hip chains, and soft red-and-black wraps that leave her arms and midriff free for combat. A ragged bite scar mars her left shoulder. Her movements are fluid, precise, and unsettlingly animalistic, especially when the moon is bright.
Mannerisms
She keeps one hand near a blade whenever she enters an unfamiliar room. When thinking, she traces circles over the bite scar with two fingers. In conversation, she often tilts her head and watches a person's mouth instead of their eyes, as though listening for a hidden growl.
Personality
Sshevasha is watchful, dryly humorous, and intensely self-reliant. She studies every room for exits and every stranger for signs of fear. Though she presents herself as worldly and provocative, her confidence is partly performance, a carefully maintained dance that keeps others from noticing how frightened she is of the empty space in her mind. She is unexpectedly gentle with the wounded and has a strong instinct to place herself between innocents and danger.
Ideals
Identity is chosen, not inherited. Whatever Sshevasha was, she will decide what she becomes by the people she protects and the horrors she refuses to become.
Bonds
The ruined castle and its dead are the only true clues to her identity. She will return there one day, even if the halls are haunted by something wearing her face.
Flaws
She cannot tolerate locked doors, deep sleep, or the smell of fresh blood. When frightened, she becomes aggressive rather than honest, and she fears that recovering her memories will prove she deserves every monster hunting her.
Quirks
Background
The first thing Sshevasha remembers is cold stone against her bare back. She awoke in one of the great halls of a castle, naked, trembling, and surrounded by mutilated bodies floating in widening pools of blood. Her black hair was stuck to her face, her red hands were slick with gore, and a terrible bite wound burned on her left shoulder. There was no weapon nearby, no surviving witness, and no memory of entering the castle. The only sound was her own breathing, interrupted by a low growl that seemed to come from somewhere inside her chest. She escaped before dawn, wrapping herself in a dead courtier's curtain and carrying away a broken ceremonial blade. In the years since, Sshevasha has survived by hunting the things that hunt ordinary people. A wandering monster slayer taught her to read tracks, recognize occult symbols, and turn graceful footwork into lethal combat. She became a fighter who treats every battlefield like a dance floor, using twin curved blades, feints, and sudden bursts of violence. Yet the bite scar has never healed properly. Under the full moon, her senses sharpen, her temper frays, and she sometimes wakes with blood beneath her nails. She does not know whether she was the murderer in the castle, the victim, or both.
