Appearance
A towering red dragonborn with cracked crimson scales, ash-black horns, and gold eyes that seem to glow in firelight. He wears battle-worn chain mail under a dark travel cloak, with scars across his muzzle, forearms, and tail. His jaw is usually set in a hard line, and his massive frame carries the deliberate stillness of someone who has survived too many betrayals.
Mannerisms
He speaks in a low, clipped voice and rarely wastes words. When angry, he taps one claw against his shield or jaw, as if counting the bodies he has already decided to leave behind. He stands perfectly still when listening, then moves with sudden explosive speed when he acts.
Personality
Cold, disciplined, and vindictive, Leroli presents himself like a commander who no longer believes in orders. He is calculating in battle, patient in ambush, and brutally direct in conversation. Beneath the cruelty is a rigid private code, but it only extends to the few people and places he still calls his own.
Ideals
Revenge. The dead deserve vengeance, and the living must pay for the choices that sent them to their graves. Control. Only strength and absolute will keep the world from repeating the war that stole everything from him.
Bonds
He will always protect Crook's Cavern, because it is the only place that never sold him out. He keeps the names of his fallen friends carved into a hidden iron plaque, and he swears that their deaths will never be forgotten. He is fiercely attached to the few people who once stood beside him in the war, even if most are dead.
Flaws
He assumes mercy is weakness and often chooses punishment over restraint. His grief can become a weapon pointed at anyone nearby, and if someone reminds him of the war, he may answer before thinking. He trusts fear more than friendship, and that habit keeps him alone.
Quirks
Background
Leroli Dragonbane was born in Crook's Cavern, a hard little settlement carved into black stone and older grudges. He learned early that survival belonged to the strong, the quick, and the cruel enough to strike first. When war came, he and his closest friends were pressed into it like all the rest, and he fought with the discipline of a soldier and the ferocity of a cornered beast. The war took his friends and left him with nothing but ash, names to remember, and a hatred that never cooled. After the peace was signed, Leroli did not find forgiveness. He hunted the generals he blamed for the slaughter and killed them one by one, then turned that same fury on the remnants of the opposing army, leaving half of them dead and the rest haunted. Every kingdom that mattered put a red notice on him, and the price on his head became a legend spoken in disbelief. Now he lives as an outlaw, a war criminal, and a nightmare in scale mail, feared everywhere except Crook's Cavern, the only place still willing to hide him when the world comes looking.
