Appearance
Morgan stands 5'9" with a lithe, graceful frame. She wears a robe of deep blue silk embroidered with silver constellations and arcane symbols. Her dark hair falls in loose waves to her shoulders, and her piercing blue eyes possess an unnerving, perfectly still clarity. She has high cheekbones, an aquiline nose, and full lips that often curve into a knowing smile. Simple silver rings adorn several fingers, and a polished moonstone pendant rests against her chest, glowing with a soft inner light. She carries the faint scent of ozone, old parchment, and lavender.
Mannerisms
Morgan speaks in measured, precise tones and pauses before answering even simple questions, as though consulting several possible futures. She traces invisible geometric patterns in the air while thinking, adjusts her silver rings when irritated, and occasionally addresses someone by a name they have not yet introduced themselves with. When deeply focused, she tilts her head toward distant sounds as if listening to time itself.
Personality
Morgan is intensely curious, profoundly patient, and unfailingly observant. She treats time as a tapestry to be studied rather than a river to be rushed. Her warmth is subtle but genuine, expressed through careful preparation, thoughtful questions, and a willingness to share knowledge. She is rarely surprised, but she is fascinated by people whose choices defy her predictions.
Ideals
Knowledge should serve the living. Secrets are not treasures to be hoarded, and anyone with the wisdom to prevent suffering has a duty to act.
Bonds
Her tower and its library contain the accumulated research of generations of scholars, and Morgan will risk nearly anything to protect them. She is also bound to the unfinished prophecy that first drove her from the academy, especially the identity of the unknown person who may prevent or cause the catastrophe.
Flaws
Morgan is so confident in her ability to predict consequences that she sometimes dismisses the free will and instincts of others. She has difficulty accepting uncertainty, and when a plan fails, she can become cold, controlling, and quietly obsessive. She also withholds frightening prophecies until she believes she has found the perfect moment to reveal them, even when honesty would be kinder.
Quirks
Background
Morgan was born to an ordinary human family, but from childhood she displayed an extraordinary sensitivity to patterns that others could not perceive. She recognized constellations in spilled ink, predicted visitors by studying candle flames, and corrected village scholars on dates she had never been taught. Her family eventually sent her to a prestigious academy, where her relentless curiosity and remarkable intellect earned her a place among the most promising students of her generation. There, she studied history, mathematics, ancient languages, and the hidden architecture of magic. She became particularly fascinated by divination, not because she wished to control the future, but because she believed every possible outcome left clues in the present. After discovering a fragmented prophecy concerning a coming magical catastrophe, Morgan left the academy and built her own tower on a windswept hill above an ancient ley line. The tower serves as observatory, library, laboratory, and sanctuary. Its halls are filled with enchanted instruments, suspended maps of the heavens, and shelves of carefully indexed lore. Though only thirty, Morgan has already become a respected sage and a formidable archmage. She now travels when her visions reveal a threat that cannot be solved from behind her desk. Morgan believes that knowledge carries a moral obligation. If she can foresee suffering and does nothing, she considers herself partly responsible for it.
“There, she studied history, mathematics, ancient languages, and the hidden architecture of magic.”
