Appearance
A petite dwarf woman with very pale skin, bright green eyes behind round glasses, and short brown hair that barely brushes her shoulders. She prefers light summer clothing instead of armor, practical and airy, with a physician's satchel, wrapped tools, and pockets full of notes and remedies. Her harmless-looking frame hides absurdly large strength, and when she is angry her expression turns sharp enough to make people step back.
Mannerisms
She adjusts her glasses when thinking, mutters medical jargon under her breath, and taps her tools against her palm when impatient. In a crisis she becomes extremely calm, which is often the most alarming thing about her.
Personality
Quick-witted, intensely competent, and a little too proud of being right, Ipek speaks with the brisk focus of someone always half a step from an exam. She is kind in practice rather than in sentiment, tends to help first and explain later, and has the unsettling habit of going very still and very cold when crossed. She loves comfort, summer, and beautiful things, but she never lets softness become weakness.
Ideals
Competence. A life can be saved by skill, preparation, and calm hands, not by pretending to be holy. She believes useful knowledge is worth more than empty reverence.
Bonds
Bodrum is the place where she feels most like herself, and she would cross a warzone to reach the sea again. She is also fiercely attached to her medical tools, her notebooks, and anyone who has trusted her to heal them.
Flaws
She is brilliant right up until stress makes her careless, and then she can make a catastrophically bad judgment call while still being convinced she is correct. When angered, she becomes genuinely frightening, because her patience disappears faster than anyone expects from someone so small.
Quirks
Background
Ipek Olcay was always the brightest student in every room, the sort of medicine student who could memorize anatomy charts over breakfast and still panic before an exam. She came from a family of steady crafters and practical people, which is how she ended up in the Guild Artisan life, but her real devotion was never to prayer. It was to healing, to the careful work of setting bones, brewing tonics, and proving that knowledge could save a life faster than any sermon. She took up the habits of a cleric because in the field, miracles and medicine often needed the same hands. Every summer, she returns to Bodrum whenever she can, where the sea breeze calms her and the sunlight makes her forget deadlines, lecture halls, and the constant pressure to be perfect. There she looks like a harmless, bookish girl in light clothes and glasses, until someone insults her work or endangers a patient. Then the tiny dwarf with the bonkers strength becomes terrifyingly direct, all clipped words and cold eyes. She is not especially religious, and she does not carry a cross, but she keeps her doctor tools polished, because to her, skill is sacred even when faith is not.
